Look your question up on the internet. Go to the library and read books. It depends on what you hope for/expect of a cat and it depends on how you treat your cat. Siamese normally expect a lot of attention and are wonderful, loyal companions. Like most cats, they usually bond with whoever feed & gives them the most attention & companionship in return. They are not usually tame and independent. They thrive on hanging out with their humans as much as possible. They are exceptionally smart cats and if they do not bring back enough playtime and interaction, they will get bored and do mischievous/creative things to entertain themselves. They hang on to you on your toes.

Siamese are vicious sometimes. when i had one it used to sit on the wall close the front door in the dark and take swipes at your obverse, little sod got me once. They are hardcore cats! Lovely though when they are in a playful mood but never ever tickle thier bellies, you're asking for trouble! They hunt as well, ours scarcely ever ate the food we gave it, they would rather kill and munch through.
9/10 for coolness
9/10 for aggression
9/10 for ease to keep them
I have two siamese cats growing up and the one I remember best was unusual for her breed because she was fairly friendly to everyone in our family. Sometimes Siamese cats tend to choose their "person" and if you are not that personage then you might not get a warm reception. The Siamese we have when I was really little was like this. Her "person" be my dad and she didn't pay much attention to anyone else. Our other Siamese was very friendly. She even tolerate me dress her in clothes! The only thing she didn't much supervision for were our two dogs so she would find a quiet place to get absent from them or perched high on a counter or on the t.v. where they couldn't reach her. She be not very talkative and I only hear her hiss once or twice in her life. She was an affectionate and loving cat. Siamese are moderately intelligent. That can be good or bad depending on who they like. You might want to lift a look on the Cat Fanciers Association website to see the breed description and see if it matches what you are looking for...
You might also want to take a look at Catster.com People who own Siamese cats put their cat's profiles out here and rate their own pets on how playful, talkative, and active they are...
Good luck!

A good ethical breeder of siamese will produce a healthy, stable and great pet.
Siamese are popular cats and within are many backyard breeders. So be careful of where you get hold of one (do NOT ever buy a cat from a pet shop).
Siamese are very smart cats, very talkative and hold lots of energy. They don't do well as a single cat - if you acquire one, get two. They will help you in doesn`t matter what you are doing; want attention and are good interactive cats.
Some people will say they are expect - well I've been around cats (show and otherwise) and have however to meet a "mean" Siamese.
If raised right, they are very social cats.
Siamese cats i believe are the best cats to own along near the Turkish Van.
With the siamese, they are one of the most intellegent breeds, and learn very easily.
I own owned chocolate point siamese ever since my grandmother gave me her prize Queen 10 years ago, she died of old age when she was around 12, and we had kept her daughter Angel, who has grown up to be a very loving and intellegent cat. Siamese's craft very good pets, they arent very within your face, and are more of your lazing around the house or on your lap, and most of the time natter to you, i know it sounds weird but both our females would make high pitch purr-meows, once someone come home from work or school Angel will always fashion funny noises and wait for a cuddle. She also goes to the toilet - to the toilet (besides flushing). They trade name very nice companions and are very recomended. I mostly love the way they hold themselves - unbelievably posh and have a light bounce with their waddle. They are remarkable cats to have :)
we had a non-purebred siamese. He was a great cat and a really intelligent one.
all cats are easy to take strictness of.. I'd say a siamese would rate an 8 or 9 on the ease-of-care scale.. Long haired cats that need alot of brushing may stir to a 7 or 6.
Siamese are known for being talkative (might want to expect about that) and they're known for being one-person cats. They'll be fine next to everyone in the family, but you will KNOW who "their person" is.
Siamese are truly unique and different, and not the cat for everyone. People either love them or hate them. They are amazingly much "in your face" cats, meaning they need interaction beside their people, and can be clingy and demanding. They form very close bonds with their personage, and need to be with them. They are not cats for people who simply want a sofa-ornament type cat. They are very active, nosy, intelligent, and athletic. They can also be greatly vocal - read that to mean potentially noisy and immensely loud. They are not mean - they just are sometimes downright unfriendly to those those who aren't in their chosen set of people. Breed of cat does determine the personality, to a hugely large extent! Siamese also tend to have bad teeth, requiring more frequent dentals than other breeds, and also tend to be extremely intolerant of foods with corn in them, making it necessary to nurture them a higher-quality food than most grocery store foods.
So please put some thought into if a Siamese is right for you. It's their personalities that make them the #2 breed turned into shelters, and the first to be euthanized as they do not do economically in cages.
Personally, I have 4 of my own at the moment, and am heavily involved surrounded by Siamese rescue. For me, there is no better breed, but not everyone will agree with that, LOL!
They also tend to be "talkative" and noisy.
I use to breed them, I loved the breed so much. They are somewhat of a difficult cat if this is your first one. Very independent, intelligent and a high activity horizontal. It depends on the bloodlines, and the breeder. I might suggest going to the pound and adopting one there, as whether you go to a breeder, be prepared to drop $500-$1500 per cat. Plus they should check you out completely before adopting.
The cats I bred be very domineering and aggressive; it took a lot of patience to train them and most cannot touch the breed. Mine were chocolate point; but read up on the breed and make your own decision.
I have loved siamese most of my life and welcome my first one into my life 13 years ago. She was a Seal Tortie Point apple head girl, that's the style of siamese with the more normal cat face. Then I be fortunate to get another siamese from another friend, he was a Lilac point Siamese beside the wedged face and very big ears and long tail. Sally was very sweet but only considered necessary love on her terms. She loved both my husband and I equally but didn't trust children. She welcomed people she know to pet her though as long as they didn't pick her up. She was very vocal and severely naughty when she was a kitten. She climbed drapes and screens and pushed the other cats around close to she was the queen. Our other cat Bonz was the most loving cat I have ever met, he hugged my d¨Ścolletage with a paw on each shoulder and would kiss my neck. He talk a lot and very loud, he jumped into our arms from the floor close to it was nothing. He climbed to the highest places contained by the house and loved to chase things. He was always on one of our laps and loved us both but me better. Sally died from a stroke at 12 and Bonz died from kidney flop at only 8. I now have a Chocolate point siames who is the sweetest boy you will every join, I already love him sooo much. He came from a very good breeder contained by Minnesota that I met at a cat show and is worth the money I paid for him, he was $500 and is probably going to be nice to show and will give us happiness for many years to come. I would recommed a Siamese or Bengal to any person who really likes cats and would want one to be a companion a bit than just a rag that lays around on the floor and doesn't interact unless it's feeding time. I also enjoy 2 Bengal cats that fit fine with Siamese except they play a little rough so our little CoCo have to run away fast from time to time. He is only 5 months hoary though. These are the kind of cats that need their humans home as much as posible though because they both stipulation lots of attention from their people. As you can tell I luv siamese, good luck beside your choice.
I have two currently, but own had many and usually hold one or two rescues at a given time. They are great cats. Wonderful temperaments, and very playful. They are not hard to protection for generally, as they're a short hair cat. They are quite "needy" surrounded by my opinion and if enough attention is not payed to them, they can be destructive. I don't feel they adapt as well to new things as other cats.
They tend to live a long time, but require virtuous vet care. They can have bad teeth and requirement them cleaned often.
My current seal point, Waffle, is quite NEEDY. If he demands attention and does not attain it right away, he will puke. Usually on our bed. It is a LOVELY thing. We try to ignore him whether he is being overly demanding at a bad time, but then we carry the consequences.
