What does it scrounging when skin starts to cover a cats eyes?

i believe your refering to a cateract (spelling?). it can cause the cat to jump blind. i'd recomend going to see your vet.
If you plan on the OUTSIDE of the eyeball, that's the third eyelid. If it's up when the cat is awake, it usually means the cat isn't feeling powerfully. If it's up when they're asleep and the eyes are half open, that's normal.

If you stingy on the INSIDE of the eyeball--a sort of whiteish fog, that's a cataract which will make the cat's sight blurry. Cataracts come from old age contained by cats, or because of a diabetic condition that's not being treated properly. Once they're there they are permanent and will craft the cat's sight blurry.
what do you be going to..like when they are tired and about to fall asleep? They hold a 3rd eyelid that comes out when they are about to go to sleep or being sleepy.
I am guessing the cat is older. It is call a cataract. Vision out of that eye is impossible till the cataract is removed. He needs surgery. Or are you referring to the third eye that most animals have? Talk to a vet. All animals need to see a vet once a year for a check up anyways. Get current on shots esp.whether the animal goes outside. Check his heart, look for signs of heart murmurs, bladder disease or bladder stones, check for worms, nails, ear etc. Most vet charge around $40 for an office call regardless on what is wrong, or how many problems nearby may be. Meds, injections, surgery is all extra charge. Just like our human doctors. Putting things sour only makes the animal suffer and makes the condition worse and more costly to treat. Preventative is the best policy for animals and humans alike.
Answers:    If you mean the nictating membrane (third eyelid) is covering the cat's eye then that's a sign the cat is sick. This membrane comes up to cover the eye so this cat probably has an eye infection or some other sickness. Get the cat to a vet IMMEDIATELY as ignoring eye issues can lead to BLINDNESS in the cat.
Yup.the personage above is correct..that is a cataract. Which might mean he's diabetic as economically...get him in soon to see a vet. This is urgent.
try googling images of feline uveitis, cataract, and nictitans. that will dispense you a better idea of what it is. if it's the nictitans (3rd eyelid), and it's only appearing sometimes, it's immaculately normal. if it's visible more than every so repeatedly, or your cat's eyes seem to be bothering him, he needs to be examined by a veterinarian.
