What does it niggardly when a cat bites you consequently lick you?

They bit you out of anger,
and then straight away regetted what they did...
So they apologize by licking you...
i other thought it was because since they have natural instincts (like when it comes to raise a kitten of it's own) they pretend your hand is a kitten and they want to groom you so when you wont keep it still they bite you... but that's what i always thought.
Answers:    It depends on the bite. If its a soft bite, it is a love bite.

If it's a hard bite, they are probably sorry so they lick you.

When I rub my one cats belly he doesn't like it, so he grab my hand with his paws and bites it to describe me to stop, then he licks it to apologize that he but me but he just looked-for me to stop.

Also they could just want your hand closer to them.

Cats like the love of your sweat, so they probably think your hand can taste honest if they bite it, but when they bite it they realize its not edible so they lick it.

Also it could just want to play. If you keep under surveillance cats play, you see that they bite each other then lick each other, so show that their not trying to hurt you.
I suppose they are just trying to groom you! My cat does the same thing!

Also specifically another way to express there love for you!
Its a form of affection. As unconventional as it seems if your cat bites you and its not really hard its a sign of affection.
my cat does that too..I just figure she is saying she wasnt out to wipe out me lol
