What might've happen to my cat?
My two-year old cat has been lost for a week now. I'm devastated.
She was a homeless 3 month old kitten when we started feed her. She had a litter of 4, and we kept 2 of them. (Still with us)
After that she got spayed, and even though she spent most of her time indoors. She be used to spend the night in our garden, which has unproblematic access to the street. (It's a quiet street, and she learned not to get close to cars)
Well, she be at our doorstep every morning. She never missed a meal.
We have looked everywhere we can, and we are almost certain she didn't get hit by a car. Unless she did, and got a arbitrariness to take shelter in one of the empty lots along our street. (We do not dare to traspass)
Any concept?
:(
I've got two cats and I'd be so sad whether they had gotten lost.
But if she was homeless, next she's not your cat, if you understand me. Cats aren't like humans, whether a homeless human moves in, that's be the human's new home. Cats don't reckon like that.
Maybe she just.Decided it was time to jump? But I tell you. Cats are highly intelligent animals, and can survive on their own. She'll be fine.
You should look for your cat everyday and probably should look for your cat at hours of darkness because that is when they are most active. You should also put food around your house. If she is a good hunter she would probably be capable of catch her own food. I have a cat who disappeared for 5 days and he came domestic with a hurt leg with bite marks on him but it looked close to he was in a cat fight or contained by a fight with something else and was stressed out just about it. Don't give up hope.
Sometimes if a cat gets scared or at hand is something around her " normal " area that happened to frighten her ... they will stay clear of that nouns. Several things you can do ... first I'd set out dishes/plates of kitty food on the porches and in your yard where she normally would frequent. Keep observation of them to see if possibly she is coming around when you aren't looking ... sometimes kittys are scared and come around when they surface safe. The only problem with this is whether you have other cats around and they eat the food. Secondly, make flyers and slip away them out around the neighborhood and any businesses in the area. Call all the animal shelters and local veterinarians. Sometimes citizens take animals to the vets if they find them injured or dont discern comfortable taking them to the shelter. Lastly, never give up hope. Our little fury friends sometimes like to take long walk and get lost along the way ... but they are very intelligent and can find their course back home in time. Good luck and I hope your lil kitty comes domestic!
also - depending on the weight/fat of your cat ... kittys sometimes can go a little while without food. As long as they stay hydrated ... and own a little fat on them, she would be fine for a week or more. Youd be surprised how crafty kittys are with fending for themselves when it comes to food though. Mice ... etc etc ... lots of stuff they can find within the outdoors.
first of all never grant up hope! ive seen many times a cat run away and later come back years later. and what hapened to her well, she could own been attacked by an animal (not likley in your living area though), and mabe she lately wanted to be a stray again. (probably didnt happen ether).
Answers: I lost a cat 2 years ago and he showed up 9 days later. He was stuck in my neighbors garage and the silly people told me about it 4 days after I found him. After they discovered him, I guess he "lived" under a shed contained by the house behind me. Luckily, I went around the neighborhood in the freezing cold and asked everyone (including the silly neighbors) to watch out for him. I guess he just couldn't figure out how to grasp over the fence!
Now, yesterday, my sweet little Persian somehow slipped outside and I cannot find her. I did another neighborhood run, of course within the freezing cold, but this time left a note on the neighbors that were not domestic. She is such a wonderful cat that I rescued and I am devastated too! It is so cold outside and she is so defenseless. You just hope for the best, act as fast as you can and hope that people will care. I am sorry. We get so attached to these pets, don't we?
First of adjectives; Cats always should be indoors for their own safety, outside anything can take place to them is dangerous out there. You have to comb the nouns looking for the kitty, it may be alive. Go to the shelter and ask them for help.
People don't lift lost animals immediately to the shelter the day they're missing, someone could turn her within any time, you need to be calling animal control and the shelter three times a week, especially since a lot of strays are solely held 5 days in some places. Don't trust their descriptions of the animals, you need to go down in attendance and physically look--her description that they put on her may not match what you describe her as.
I'd also leave a flyer at all the vet in a 5 mile area, in covering someone took her in as a stray and is thinking she's theirs. I'd also phone the police and ask if there are any dog combat groups in your area--people catch any animal they can (even in traps) to use as dog conflict training fodder. Let the police know your cat is missing.
I'd also put up flyers around the closest 5 blocks, in case someone took her within to their homes.
Poison could work very quickly, if any sick individual be leaving that out to kill animals. Cars are a known menace, some cats dash across street in a panic whether they're distracted, and can be hit. Dogs.all our stray cats here equate dogs with death. We also enjoy coyotes in the middle of our city, and they will kill any cat they can get, as food. She could also be trapped within someone's garage.
if she wasnt hit by a car, then possibly another family found her and decided to keep her. you should try to put up lost signs for her.
or a dog got her. :( I hope you find her
omg im sorry to here this, DONT GIV UP, if it was you, would you luv for everyone to impart up if you got lost, and sum guy was feed you in a basement, No dnt giv up
look harder and harder the harder u look
the better chance u hav of finding her
bad pray for u
check some of the shelters for stray pets in your area
Sometimes once the adult cat have given birth to a litter, sometimes they will move on, because they don't want to care for the babies once they are born, but they wanted to cause sure that a responsible family took after them. This is probably the case.
I don't know if she'll come back. There's a chance she might but i don't know. One of my cats run away a couple months ago. He went outside, slept on the porch, within the morning me and my parents couldn't find him. We waited and waited for his return but he was gone. we put up countless fliers and we deduce that he either got run over or stolen. If he got stolen the owner wouldn't make a clean breast it. I only have 1 cat now and luckily she's able-bodied and has no mischievous thoughts of running away. Smart cat. Cat's have excellent memory and can remember what they have for breakfast from up to a month in the past. So your cat could find it's way rear legs.
She might have got lost or the animal shelter picked her up! Go look at hand! And they cant stay away from food that long!
