What to nurture a kitten (or 2) short a mother that is to say simply 4 inches long that you a short time ago found within your backyard?
okay, so my mom and i just found these 2 kittens that are so tiny, and they have no mother. the question pretty much explains itself. we are taking them to the vet tomorrow, because they are closed immediately but help with this is SERIOUSLY apprectiated! what should we do?
this happen to me ages ago, we got a syringe and put a bit of warm but not hot milk into it. use cat milk if you enjoy it but don't worry otherwise. and if you have no syringe newly use you finger and put it near their mouths.
so hope it works
also keep them warm next to a warm hot waterbottle at night so they think it is their mum. and nurture them regually.
Go immediately to a pet store like Petsmart or Petco. They enjoy special kitten milk with little bottles. The way you describe the kittens I can't tell is they are too childish to eat kitten food so stick with the kitten milk. Never use cow's milk because it does not have ample nutrients and it will give them diarrhea.
They may be cold too so use a heating pad on low and wrap it surrounded by a towel so the kittens aren't directly exposed to the pad. Put them in a box so they feel locked.
If you do not want to keep them permanently, take them to a no slay shelter and they will foster them until they are old enough to be adopted.
here is a recipe for kitten milk
ORPHAN KITTEN FORMULA
4 oz. evaporated milk
4 oz. water
2 egg yolks
1 teaspoon corn syrup (or substitute pancake syrup)
1 capsule cod liver oil
*REFRIGERATE any unused formula and build fresh formula if all not used inwardly 48 hours.
FEEDING:
Warm formula but make sure it’s not too hot ! Use a plastic feeding tube – a 3 cc size is best but you can use a 1 cc size and you can find a tube from a vet or pharmacy. Orphan kittens need to be fed every 2 – 3 hours until they are 4 weeks old. At 4 weeks antiquated, you can introduce some canned cat food mixed with the baby kitten formula but supplement near the feeding tube until all kittens are fully able to devour enough on their own. They should be weighed on a kitchen scale respectively day and their weight recorded within order to make sure they are achievement. Consult a veterinarian if the kittens fail to gain weight, own diarrhea, continually vomit or sneeze.
ELIMINATION:
Orphan kittens need help to eliminate their bowels until they are 3 – 4 weeks out-of-date, after which time they will begin to eliminate on their own. Until that time, after EACH feeding, use a heat up, soft cloth and gently tap or rub their anal area until they pee/poop. This movement simulates the mother’s rough tongue washing which, in a natural situation, help her kittens eliminate. Be careful not to rub too hard as the skin is hugely tender on their rear ends when they are tiny kittens.
SAFE CARE
All baby kittens should be kept warm and out of a draft within a cardboard box in a safe area absent from small children, dogs or other animals. All interaction with small children should be supervised as tiny kittens are very vulnerable to stress and handling.
Kittens eyes will generally open around between 10 and 13 days after birth.

Fill a bottle next to warm water and wrap it with a fluffy cloth and put it surrounded by a box with the kittens, they'll stick to it and fell safe. Some kittens are allergic to cow milk and they might die if they drink it. But I raise 5 kittens with cow milk and they all were thriving. Mix 4 tbs of low fat cow milk with 1 tbs of water. If their eyes are unfold, pour the milk in a clean and small saucer in the box and they'll lick it. Otherwise, use a verbs eyedropper to feed them. Put the head of the dropper on the corner of their mouths, so they can taste the milk and spread out their mouths. You should push the dropper while feeding them, they can't suck they milk out of the dropper if you don't help. Don't push firm though.
I'd put the plastic sheet at the bottom of the box, and put a towel on top of it so their pee won't leak. Leave them in the box together and put the box within a warm and dark place. Take them to a vet sooner for more help.
You feed them with an eyedropper. Canned milk from the pet store made for newborn kitties is the best. If that's out of the question, perhaps a little ROOM temperature cream. I would nurture them every three hours since they can' t hold much at a time.
Good luck.
Answers: Emergency vet NOW!
They will clean it up and minister to it, it might survive, and then they can help you with replacement milk- in attendance is only one good kind out in that and they'll let you know what to use and how to do it.
Good luck!
