When is it ok to destroy my cat?
He is really old, has cancer and snores, i want to give him an injection
.. It's never ok to "kill" your cat. To permit him go peacefully is a different story. I'd ask your vet about this one.
First of all, you can't compare animals to humans. And it isn't "killing" when you hold to put an animal out of its misery. Ask the vet if he is in dull pain. Do you want something you love to be in pain? Probably not. The vet will give him an injection and you can stay right in attendance with him and pet him until he falls asleep. It is very peaceful and remember -you give him a good quality of life while he be with you. There are a lot of homeless animals just waiting for the fate to fill the void and have a nice domestic.
just because he is old you shouldn't butcher him!! if he is in pain specifically a different matter though?
Really YOU SHOULD NOT USE THE WORD KILL!
Having your cat put down or put to sleep is the adjectives word.
IF YOUR CAT HAS A MEASURE of health and quality of life. Then allow the cat to verbs living.
IF your cat is suffering the kindest thing to do is to have your cat put to sleep.
This is a decision YOU enjoy to make. You have to realize you are not going to feel moral about it if you do it no matter what the situation is.
If snoring be a reason to put down someone ... a TON of husbands and kids would have to be put down! >^..^<
Your cat deserves a better owner. I would rather u be put to sleep.
Snoring should not be reason to kill a cat.
Some cancer may go into remission so that alone should not be the reason for ending his natural life.
If you think he should be 'put to sleep' as it is called, please take him to the vet and hold this done properly.
If your cat still has ability of life, give him the opportunity to live it. However, having said that, whether he is in pain, it would be kinder to have your vet conclude his suffering. You cannot do this, it's illegal, your vet must be the one to do it. Good luck to your cat.
I do not like how you've worded this. I regard as instead of kill you should use euthanize. Kill sounds like you want to deliberately murder him. Are you looking forward to this?If you are after you are sick and cold hearted! If anything have a vet euthanize him legally idiot!
Answers: simply by asking this request for information it shows you know its time to end its suffering. I have gone through this myself and its not easy, but is conspicuously the right thing to do. A gun is quicker and cheaper then an injection.
unless hes within pain i think its wrong to take a time, if a human was in that situation (being that they snored, have cancer and was old wud u say it be ok if they were murdered)??
Legally, you can be convicted of animal cruelty if you choose to appendage your cat's suffering by killing him, not matter what method you use.
If he's in niggle and his quality of life is poor, a vet can legally put him down for you.
If your cat is suffering and surrounded by pain, then it's best to take him to the vet and hold him put down. Don't do it yourself.
Well, don't kill someone just because they snore.
But if his power of life is not good anymore, then euthanasia is a open-handed thing to do. It's a decision you can make near your vet - they'll be able to tell you what his outlook is, etc.
you can't kill your cat but if he is that behind the times and ill and is suffering .. take him to the vets to be PTS..
"In these situations, with my own cats, quality of life become paramount. If the cat is getting by and seems to be happy, we continue. If the cat begin to get depressed and the quality of life have deteriorated badly, then euthanasia is the option we choose. Under any circumstances it is a difficult situation!"
when the cats bad days outnumber the fitting ones..
by the way.. you probably snore too.
How old is old? Cats can live for awhile, however when he has cancer his aspect of life isnt good, and I'd personally read aloud thats when you put him down. Its cruel to keep him suffering.
Pay the $80 and have the vet do it. PLEASE!
When he's suffering or in agony
-BAP
ASAP, poor item needs to be put out of his misery
i don't like the process you've worded this...are you looking forward to a life without him?! the right time would be when the vet says so, and definately not because he snores.
