When will my cats be resourcefully?
I took them to the vet today because they were throwing up. They also had diarrhea, but since their stomachs enjoy been empty, it has turned into this completely clear gelly mucous. They have really high fevers. The vet diagnosed them with a respiratory infection because of the fever and rapid, shallow breathing, and also treated them for worms because of the diarrhea/vomiting. We've been home approximately 10 hours, and they are still throwing up, one of them has no appetite, and they both are pooping the clear mucous. How long does it take the antibiotics to work so that they'll start feeling better?
Answers: Those are question that really should be directed to your vet. Just like with humans, antibiotics take 24-48 hours to see in, and then sometimes it is a couple more days before you see any rise. I hope you can coax them to eat and drink...especially drink. Try their favorite foods. When my cat was sick, the with the sole purpose thing that she would go for was vanilla rime cream, and later, tuna. If they aren't drinking in the next few hours, give the name your vet. Dehydration is nothing to mess with. I hope withing 48 hours they are doing better and you can relax. Until then, confer your vet a call.
I think that the vet is responsible to answer you correctly but after 24- 48 hours you can expect a gradual restructuring and within a few days they will become completely well
