Why do cats resembling to go underwater up on the roofs of houses?
How do they get up there, and how come they can never figure out how to obtain down?
They usually jump up to roofs when they feel threatened, and for some common sense mine can never figure out how to get down, either. :) Give them some time when they're stuck up near, and shout some encouraging words... they will come down eventually.
Being so small, cats like to climb to difficult places. Not only does it give them a good outlook of everything going on, but it also keeps them at a safe distance from surprise attack
They usually bring back up onto the roof by using a nearby fence, wall or tree as a launch pad.
It's graceful for them to climb upwards, because they use their inward curving claws and powerful hind legs. However, coming down isn't quite so easy because their front legs are weaker and their claws are not pointing in the right direction to be of much use. This is why sometimes it take them a while to figure out how to get back down, as they are looking for the easiest way out.
Answers: idk, but my sister's cat cried when he got tired to sitting there, after three days.
