Why on mud would you want a heavy cat/dog?
I was reading about a Fat animal contest. Do ppl not know this is NOT healthy for the animal? Ppl can brand me so damn mad!!

Why on earth would some people feel that being skinny is the best thing in the world? They are skinny and their pets are skinny. They progress on and on about the health benefits of it all, again its adjectives a trend, fad, current guru style facade for superficiality. It's all so pitiful and boring.
You are right. Obesity should not be praised. However, some cats - especially indoors and neuter - get fat, and although owners try to protect them, they can't. My cat is rather curvy. But I take care that he doesn't get really obese, I put him on a diet when he tend to gain weight. But he still is a big cat. I guess it is teh same with humans. Many people are fairly big, but it is a medical problem when they get obese.
i.e. one of the worst things you can do to your pet. I don't know why people think that a fat pet is cute or funny or doesn`t matter what. are fat people considered cute or anything like that, why create that next to your pet?
being obese is unhealthy, putting extra pressure on joint and organs, sometimes causing pain and discomfort. as humans feed their pets and own control over amounts i feel it is their responsibility to ensure a healthy weight is maintain.
outcome is less vet fees and more importantly a happier pet :)
Obesity is bad for anyone's health, so my verbs is that contests would encourage people to try to make their pets obese. I believe the Guiness world account book actually removed the fattest cat category from their book for that reason - I remember reading that or hearing it on the report or something.

Answers: I KNOW!! Why would anyone want an disgustingly obese cat or dog. Shouldn't that be a form of neglect? Its gross and regretful that some animals are that way because of ppls stupidity.
maybe they think its funny or dont recognize that this is a major issue endangoring their pets life. Our country's PPL have ample obesity issues why on earth would you want your dog/cat too?
