Why would my mannish cats stomach discern knotty?
I have a 8 year old neutered masculine cat and I've noticed that his stomach is hard. I mean you can press on it but it's pretty tough. He's still playing with our younger cat, but does seem to be sleeping a little more. I know he's peed because my husband disappeared his sweater and hat on a chair and he peed on it, he's done this before so I know it's him and not the other cat but because the two cats share a litter box I"m not certain if he's had a bowel movement lately. I'm going to take him within to see the vet when my husband gets home I just required to know what some of you thought this could be? I really appreciate any help, and thanks in credit.
it may not be serious but i could be. if it sticks out form his side like he is going ot enjoy kittens then it's maybe a tumor, if its on te bottom of his tummy and it may be a herna. any way take him to the vet.
best wihses and good luck
A hard, bloated belly could equal worms, particularly if he really does have a noticeable potbelly.
If your cat is urinating inappropriately (on the sweater, for example) this is a certain sign that something is wrong with him medically. When cats pee outside their litter box, this is one of the first signs that they're not feeling okay.
A call to the vet is probably in order- good luck near your little buddy, I hope he's feeling better soon.
Your cat have been working out ! Thats his six pack!( Of whiskas)
Hairballs
Answers: Most likely furballs.
Could be a hairball, a blockage or worms. If it is a hairball, try giving him vaseline or hairball remedy (malt with fish flavoring). If its worms, the vet will give a deworming treatment that will pocket care of things but if he is indoors this would be highly unlikely. If it is a blockage (could even be cause by a hairball) things can move themselves after he is given kitty laxative or in most extreme cases he could need surgery to remove the blockage. My old cat once have a blockage that was going to need operated on and right until that time we took him to have the surgery, he went to the bathroom. yuck I know but thats how it is. Don't worry, your kitty will be fine.
