Will adjectives blue eyed cats turn deaf?

I have a grey kitten, well hes almost antiquated enough to be considered a cat now, who has big blue eye. When he be just a baby I really hoped his eyes would stay blue, but now I've read that blue eyed cats become deaf.
His mother be all black and his father was all white. His brother from his litter also have blue eyes and looks exactly like a siamese, so who knows, within may be some siamese in his ancestry.

What do you think?
THanks
i don't believe that is true that all blue eyed cats will be deaf. my grandmother had a grey cat near blue eyes that was fine and i have a full grown white cat with big blue eyes who is not deaf. i would read aloud, consider your self lucky.blue eyes are special.
Where on loam did you read that "blue eyed cats become deaf"? That's absolutely NOT true. All kittens are BORN with blue eyes and most of them - unless they're "pointed" cats or pure white - will change to their developed colour by about 3 to 4 months.

Most pure white cats with blue eyes are deaf but a cat isn't going to be born hearing and "become deaf" then on unless due to some injury or untreated ear infection that's completely unrelated to the cat's eye colour.
Answers:    No, it's not 100% a guarantee that they'll be deaf. In fact Siamese and other breeds hold blue eyes with no problems.

Usually the deafness is associated with blue eyed WHITE cats, the coat color is part of the genetic factor that coincides near the deafness, but even being white coated won't necessarily mean the cat would be deaf.

Watch his ears, if he swivels them to listen to things, he's not deaf.
Not adjectives blue eyed cats are deaf. But if one parent is a bicolor, the white spotting gene is the one that causes deafness.

I had a blue-eyed white rex (his grandparents be pointed) and he was not deaf. I also had a gold-eye white kitten that was totally deaf (her father be a bicolor).
That is a myth
My cousin have five cats and 3 out five all have blue eyes and can hear perfectly! so don't verbs your cat will not become deaf because he has blue eyes!
No, my four year old cat with blue eyes hears markedly well, when she wants to. She has Siamese coloring. She is approximately 1/4 Siamese.
NO;;; Not all blue eyed cats are deaf..i own a pure white cat with blue eyes and he is not deaf at all he be born out side and his sister looked like a long haired siamese so i sure their mother was siamese,,though i never see her at all... His name is SNOWBALL nd is 5 years old immediately.and is really beautifull and was 10 m0nths whe i took him in...what you most likely hear that sometime white cats with blue eyes are usually deaf but not always so it sounds approaching your cat most likely does have some siamese in him so don,t verbs he will not be deaf..and i am sure that his eyes will remain blue seeing you say he and adult cat in a minute..they wont change after so many weeks old.he will be fine...GOOD LUCK AND DONT WORRY IF HE IS NOT DEAF NOW HE WILL NOT GO DEAF AT ALL.
Can someone inform me how can I seize my cat from clawing the mat, w/out de-clawing her? Thank U so much.?   Is my cat splashed within an unusal stencil?   Why does my cat hindmost up to a wall and swiftly see it near both hind legs?   My cat come put a bet on - but he immediately wishes to step out again?
