Will my cats ever be friends?
I have a cat called Colin who is 2 years old immediately, in May I got Ben - everyone said that once you get his little ballies cut past its sell-by date they would just get on... but since day one, very well they were ok at first and even sat together on the chair at times, although it took Colin until ending month to forgive me as he has only just started jump up on my lap again, however, Ben just wont leave him alone! When Colin comes surrounded by Ben jumps on him straight away, Colin tries to ignore him but eventually he fight back and is constantly growling (Ben doesnt growl) I have tried to leave them to attain on with it, and I've tried to tell Ben off too but neither work! What can I do? I love them both - I get Ben because Colin was far too independent and I wanted a Cat I could train to stay in more, which Ben does (although he go out for about 5 hours a day) and he is soooo attentive to me, but it would be nice if they could be friends, or even just cut each other! Long question I know, but I thought I'd ask the experts! xx
like thing happened to my grandmas cat ;{ give it time
My neighbors cat and mine can't stand respectively other. My boy still has his ballies ( i know I'm not a responsible pet owner), but the other cat has been altered. I enjoy never seen a more agresive cat than that one. So, in short, ballies are not always the solution.
yeh make a contribution it time
i dont know
Answers: Sounds like to me that ben requirements to play, did he get his ballies cut off too ,if not next he is the dominate male and is excerting it,They will learn to get along or a short time ago accept each other.Let them work it out ,it is 2 boys being boys do not verbs .In another year or so they will lose intrest in playing and want to be lazy male cats.
I had a cat, Kitty for four years and she was mine. We rescued two cats from the shelter and brought them home. Kitty did not close to them. It has been 3 years, and she still doesn't. But they got over it adequate to sleep on the same bed and be in the same room, but once contained by a while she will swat at them. It is sort of a dominance thing, they could get over it, but they may not. but they can compromise and be near respectively other without getting mad once in a while.
Good luck!
