Will my developed masculine cat start spraying whether i carry a fresh mannish dog? my cat have never spray pee contained by the house since.?
i have an adult male cat. he is a nice cat and other goes outside or in his litter box. i can merely remember him spraying once when i first got him. I want to adopt a new male dog , but i hear that cats often spray when a new pet is introduced into the home. do cats solely do this if there is a new cat or might it surface with any animal.
Answers: I suppose each situation is unique.
The cat that we have did not feel that any dog was a threat to his home, he sort of ruled the roost and the dogs that we have respected him. Spraying was not a problem. We did have a dog before we get him, though and he came from a home with dogs. The dogs go as time went on, and the cat stayed. New dogs or puppies came and still no problems with spraying. We even introduced a untried kitten and that did not result in spraying, but we got rid of the kitten because Orangie as we called our cat, simply did not want him around and someone else considered necessary the kitten.
I have a male cat, too, and I was worried something like the same thing when we brought home our masculine puppy. If your cat has been neutered, afterwards "no" he shouldn't spray. Hopefully, you had him neutered when he was a kitten!
