12 week old-fashioned puppy.how much is plenty food?
We feed her about a 1/2 cup in the morning and 1/2 cup at hours of darkness. Should it increase and when?

Its great for now, but when she gets bigger start feed her more and more until full size. If you over feed her don't give her 2 meal unless she whines! Have Fun
it would depend on the breed and size of the dog. I usually tell citizens, as a general rule, go by the feeding directions on the puppy food. It will usually give you an adult solidity and tell you how many cups that dog should have. Then you can split that total amount into two or three feedings. After a week or so, you can adjust the amount according to the shipment gain or loss of the individual dog. Some puppies need more at different times, but it depends on the dog.
Answers: That depends on what breed of dog it is and what kind of food you're feeding it...
For example, if it's a Great Dane and you're feed it Purina, then 1 cup of food is nowhere NEAR enough. If it's a smaller breed and you're feeding it a feature food, then 1 cup a day is just around right.
Edit - 1 cup/day sounds about right - Did you look at the feeding chart on the side of the food bag? What manner of food are you feeding it?
The bag of food is a honest place to start when wondering about how much a day. They have common guidelines for age/size on the bag most times. If the puppy seems to be loosing weight increase it, whether it seems to be gaining weight to swift decrease it.
First congratulations ~ depending on the size of the puppy, I just recently get a 4 month old Papillon which weighs 4lbs and his vet has him on 1/4c 3 times a year.
Right prior to bed time, I usually will give him a small snack to hold him over til morning.

It depends on what size she is but under a year I was advise to feed three times a day because they have wee tummies.
