Any breeders that own Maltese puppies contained by Los Angeles?
I want one really badly for about $350.

You can try www.akc.org and check their classifieds for breeders, but if the breeder keeps the parents in great condition , and nice environment , and upright vet care, expect to pay around $ 1000. Breeders have to net their expenses back, and if puppies are cheap, that means no money be spent on the parents. You don't want to support that, or take the risk of sickly puppies from uncaring breeders.
Answers: You will not find a clean puppy for that price. However, you can rescue a Maltese from a shelter for under that amount. There are plenty of Malteses in the LA area within need of new homes, some still quite babyish. Take a look here: http://www.petfinder.com/search/search.c...
I dont live in los angeles... but you may want to look into a dog rescue group. You can never be too careful (especially contained by LA) where people get their dogs from. the rise of puppy mills is horrific.

If health and self are not important to you, then you MAY be able to find a Maltese puppy on one of the scam sites close to craiglist or kijiji. But, you'll also end up with a sickly dog that's loaded with temperament problems.

Don't go to a special breeder, Adopt a mutt from your local humane society those entail homes more. And besides You might want a partly grown dog if you live in an apartment
