Are Boxers righteous kith and kin pets?
Are they generally good with children and very well behaved around the house? Easy to train?
YES! Their wonderful.
when i was a toddler my nan owned one. and everyone know that the odd toddler will pull a dogs fur. i must of done that and she didnt even touch me.
their so laid back and sweet.
hmm when near young there VERY hyper. you have to train them from the word dance. i wouldn't say they were hard to train, but they are hyper as i said.
As a dog trainer and a boxer owner for seven years, yes they are fabulous dogs to bring into a home. They are excellent next to children. They are a medium sized dog and can possibly knock over small children when excited. I had my first babe three years ago, with two boxers in the home already. From daytime one, I taught the dogs respect for the baby, even as a newborn, they were amazingly gentle with her and very mindful of when she be on the ground, I didn't have one accident with a dog stepping on her.
As she approched toddlerhood, I did like mad of work with the dogs with de-sensitizing them to what I imagined she would be doing...pulling fur, pulling ears, poking. Now that she is a three year old, they tollerate her amazingly powerfully, I have never had a bite in my house, and she does a fare amount of antagonizing.
Boxer are extremely straightforward to train, ok I might be biasts, but when I teach class I always look forward the most to the boxer puppies becuase they generally are the smartest in the class. Boxers are extremely loyal so they usually are impressively good in the home, other wanting to please you.
Before you do get this breed, please research. Boxers are active, and they do need outlets for their verve. Boxers can be clingy to their owners, but this is one reason some people stick with boxers! Also, they hold a solid body frame, and combine that with excitablility and smal children, someone could get run over!
I recommend training right off the bat for any dog, not only boxers. And I recommend fully you research completley in the breed of your choice, you would need to understand the downside of owning a boxer as economically, such as the puppy stage, and the teenager stage. After these stages, I believe a boxer is the perfect familly pet.
I have owned plenty of Boxers surrounded by my life. I have 2 actually I own very soon. They are very good dogs and listen well. they love childeren. I enjoy a 1 years old female and a 5 year old manly boxer. you need to get the spayed very young-looking and neutered very young, they listen and fulfil better with this done. and the males have aggression alot if they are not neuter. MAKE SURE when you get the dog you want if it a boxer that you look at the parents and ask alot of questions on his they enjoy been healthy and if they hold any agression and ask to see them as well. big issue on looking at the parents. due to however the parents are and whatever they feed them is what the dog you enjoy now will be. The food is important too, check to see what kind of food they feed them before even getting the dog. any more questions let me know I know alot in the order of them.
Boxers are great dogs, and especially good with children. certain they are pretty easy to train, and if you want a family dog i notably recommend boxers considering they have a very loving nature. they love to be external so they're best with a fenced in back patio, they love to chew so have lots of toys too.
hope this helps!

Tamara!
Despite their mean look. Boxers make great family pets, but are not easy to train.
The typical Boxer is intelligent, alert, and fearless, yet friendly. He's loyal to his family and loves to play next to them, but he's also headstrong, especially if you try to use stern training methods with him.

Boxers are rambunctuous and should be trained by someone with prior experience. They receive excellent pets, but will challenge you for dominance.
okay they are wonderful dogs but as long as they get a lot of exercise. I know many associates that got them but had no idea they are so hyper, so whether you and your family are very active I'm certain the puppy will fit in just fine. Good luck
Mike Tyson isn't
yes, as long as properly trained. They are very sweet and smart! Becare they don't have a long energy expectancy and are prone to cancer.

The well-conditioned middleweight athlete of dogdom, the Boxer is a powerful dog with an intelligent and alert expression. While they are instinctive guardians, the Boxer loves to be with his population. This personality has allowed them to succeed as couriers during war time and as seeing-eye dogs for the blind. Appearing contained by both fawn and brindle colors, the Boxer currently ranks as one of the most popular dogs in the United States according to AKC(R) Registration Statistics.
A Look Back
Developed in Germany in the 19th century, Boxers be originally used for dog fighting and to run down and hold large game such as out of control boar and bison until the hunter could arrive. The breed is known for standing up on its hind legs and batting at its opponent, appearing to box near its front paws. Imported to America after World War I, they began to grow in popularity surrounded by the late 1930s.
Right Breed for You?
One of the breed's most notable characteristics is its desire for human affection, especially from children. They are tolerant and spirited with children, but also protective, making them a popular choice for families. The Boxer requires little grooming, but needs on a daily basis exercise.

can be good with children yes. well behave and easy to train...not so much. good luck to you! =D
I have a boxer and he does not disregard for dominance. He is very eager to please. He is very protective, and loving. My 2 year aged niece climbs all over him while he's lying on the floor, even inspects his feet and he doesn't get upset or angry. The just bad things about boxers are- they require a lot of exercise, which isn't a huge concord, and he gets upset if left domestic alone. He was 5 years old before I have him neutered, and he was never aggressive towards people or my pets previously, or after.
IDK anything about dogs. But boxers are UGLY.. haha. no offense. but yeah seize a golden retriever or something else. They are so cute and there easy to train. Especially a GERMAN SHEPHARD is easy to train. and near cuter.
