Aren't dogs the best pets ever?
Seriously they are one of the only pets that actually love you back. In my intellect that's what a good pet should do.

I'm glad you close to dogs so much. But, can you define this "love" that you speak of? Could it be that other animals show affection for their people in a track that people don't pick up on as easily? One of the reasons inhabitants and dogs get along so well is that we share some pretty prominent facial expressions as well as other forms of communication such as whining. But that doesn't close-fisted that your cat, your bird, or even your iguana doesn't have affection for you- they just can't show it to you in impossible to tell apart language as the one that humans and dogs tend to share.
BTW: this by no means, is to be misconstrued into dogs and humans share all communication, because we don't. Many, copious, many bites from dogs happen because people can't read their dog's subtle signals.
Answers: also, what domestic pet will protect your home from intruders, no matter the size of the dog.?

Yes...they are really the very, very best EVER!
My two puppies are snuggle girls...they sleep with me and put together me a snug, warm sandwich. When we wake up they are wiggly and roll on their backs for stomach rubs.
They both play with stuffed animals...and steal them from my daughters room...but, they don't destroy them..they just love them and lay on them.
ok.i own to go and get my dogs a treat for being so great!
