Could I negotiate this next to a pet shelter?

Okay so basically we have a dog, a "min pin" that is intensely loud and annoying. His true owner is a good friend of ours but he is currently incapable to take care of him. We cannot hang on to the dog with us, because they do not allow pets at the apartments where we stay and someone would immediately find out because this dog is so loud and like to bark. So that is the background information.

My ask is, could we negotiate with a pet or animal shelter (in Las Vegas, Nevada) to let us temporarily keep the dog their at the shelter contained by exchange for donating money to the shelter and paying money to keep our dog there? And more thing, politely ask that the min-pin we are going away to the shelter not be subject for adoption? Would that be too much to ask?

Okay so just to make sure everyone understand, we dont have the space for the pet, but we could provide the money for it to be in the shelter. We will also offer to donate money for the rest of the animals within the shelter so the administration will be somewhat inclined to say yes and let us hang on to our dog there. Lastly, we would ask that the specific dog we are putting in the shelter not be subject to adoption because we are more than likely going to run it back after some time.
Thank you to anyone who answers or can offer advice. 10 points to the best one.
It wouldn't hurt to ask. That plan sounds like it could benefit everyone!
I doubt the shelter will agree to that becasue having your dog there would ocupy a space where a rescued dog could live. There are places that can babysit your dog for an amount of time however these places generally charge 12-15 dollars a day. Maybe try and find a friend that will look after it for a while.
Answers:    It's unlikely a shelter around that would do that, you are asking them to board your dog, and their space is at a premium. There are places that would board it, but it will cost money. Talk to a local vet or look surrounded by the phone book. Maybe you could find a foster, look at the places on petfinder.com.
You can't. They need all the space they enjoy. If that dog takes up a slot all that time, that means one smaller number slot for animals that are there to be adopted, which means more animals receive put down.

You can, however, board the pet at a certified kennel. It's also a lot healthier.
There are such thing as boarding facilities. That would be a much better environment than a shelter...
No because what are they supposed to do with animals that need the space that your dog is taking up? What are they going to do beside that animal needs a home? You can board the dog. People usually do this when they budge on vacation.
It sounds to me approaching your "good friend" should be the one deciding where his dog is placed. Have a articulate with him, afterall you never should have accepted the dog whether you didn't have the space for it, so make sure he understand the situation.

Look into boarding the dog. A shelter will not accept an arrangement like that, they're federally and state funded to keep dogs sour the street, not to take in dogs who have responsible owners.

And what the hell is it near people creating their own dog breeds? That's seriously screwy... I mean, I understand stray mutts... that's inbred... but creating breeds is a whole different issue. That's just my opinion, the rest of this answer is honesty and reality.
And take up room for a dog that really needs it? A shelter will not likely agree to that.

Try checking around for boarding kennels surrounded by your area.. they will house the dog there if you are ready to pay for it.
I think boarding rather than shelter. You stipulation to train your dog to not bark so much. Maybe have a friend take it, but whether you are not going to be moving where you can keep it, you may need to re domestic it.
Doesn't hurt to ask but dog boarding services might be a better idea.
No, most shelters are packed full and they do not "hold" dogs for nation. You can board the dog at a boarding facility or a vet clinic. Or you can find another friend to watch the dog.

Or the owners can TRAIN their dog not to be loud an annoying.
find some one to keep it at ther house ok
No. They are not boarding facilities. They don't have room for their own dogs ... but within the back of my mind I would say If you hold an offer they couldn't refuse ... make it.

BUT I would pinch him to training classes because it seems like you do care and it would do him a world of dutiful and you too to go to them.

Good luck.
What is the baptize of that Dog?   Is it regular for a Doberman to scrape at posts?   What does white dog poop stingy?   How towering would a miniature schnauzer and a standard schnauzer mix be?
