Dachshund nearly house trained.?

My dachshund is 7 months old and getting better at house breaking. She can go weeks in need an accident and sometimes goes to the door, but mostly she waits until we whip her. She is just inconsistent...

for example: today she went adjectives the way to the back door, from upstaris, to go external... and later tonight she peed on the floor.

Any advice to help her the rest of the style over the hump?
Hello,

I have some potty training info on my site at

www.dachshundgifts.org

Please check it out when you procure a few minutes.maybe it will help you some.

Best wishes, Link
It only takes practice & patience. Some dogs get the theory very quickly & others don't. We had our puppy house trained within a week. The dog before that was never house trained. I would recommend crate training her & also getting some puddle pads. You can put those where on earth she has peed at previously so she will potty on that and not the floor. Make sure you are cleaning the area apposite to get the urine smell out. Because dogs tend to eliminate in like spot. Potty training a dog is just like potty training a child it just take time. Also reward her with treats when she goes outside & bestow lots & lots of praise. This will help her too.

Good luck!
Answers:    This exact thing happened to my German Shepherd when she was younger and man house trained. She went from being completely untrained-->learning to step to the door and cry and being somewhat trained-->having almost no accident. But it seemed that when she was completely house trained, she'd randomly enjoy an accident every once in a blue moon. She was, as you said, at a hump. It took awhile, and some determination, but eventually she get over it and now she no longer has any accidents.

This newly means that your dog is still in the process of potty training. She gets the model, and knows what is right-but still has an accident. This is akin to childlike children who still accidentally wet the bed once in a while when they're still young. They know they should shift to the bathroom, and they know what to do, but they're still getting used to the routine and don't have great control over their bladders, so they have an accident once within while. Eventually it tapers off and stops, and so too it will with your dachshund puppy, don't verbs! Just continue with your discipline, never let up, and be determined and merciful. She'll learn and be perfectly potty trained in no time!

Tips: It might sustain to take out your dog more often than usual while she's still gaining control of her bladder and the training to avoid accident. She'll get out more, relieve herself more, and it will reinforce her learning of relieving herself outside. Dachsunds are small dogs, and small dogs can't hold out as long as larger dogs, so you might enjoy to work on taking her out more often. The issue might be simply her not being walked plenty or often enough. Try this out!

Good luck to you, hope this helped!
I'm gonna mark this question and keep up w/it...hopefully some dachshund genious see it and gives you great advice. I have a 5 month out-of-date that does the same thing...except when he decide to go, it's in my roommates bathroom. oops.
Patience, consistency, get her out like mad and on a regular schedule.
Sounds as if she's doing very very well actually - no dog is perfectly potty trained - she can't use the toilet and flush, so you need to get hold of her out frequently enough for her to be able to go external.
Why does my dog do this?   What concerned of Dog is this?   Can dogs munch through the dental chew bones you purchase within store?   What would you nurture a 2 pound 4 week outmoded golden retriever mix.?
