Does anyone else's dog return with adjectives frisky within the winter time?
Lately, with the cooler weather in the 50's (we live in Texas), my corgi have been running around in the front yard (and won't stop when I send for him in), and sometimes down the street! This is very unlike him, he is usually well behave. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Do they just get all hyper contained by the cooler weather?
We're in Texas too-I've been loving the nice, cool weather. So have my german shepherd and husky! They are drastically frisky and running around like crazy! It's halarious, to be honest. Mine still listen to me, pretty well, though. I bet your corgi is just too excited for his own well-mannered! haha. He'll settle down. =)
Good luck and let's enjoy our nice weather!

I have a GSD and live in Miami so down here we really don't get a winter but when the temps here drop close to now in the 60's and 70's he loves it outside. I freshly think that the summer is to hot for them to play as long as they would like to so when the temps get cooler they relish being out more. I wouldn't worry about it, I enjoy friends down here with dogs and they say the same entry, it's just the temps.
He will probably getting the scent of a b1tch in season. Males can detect a fertile female dog at up to about 5 miles and it drives them crazy.
I'm in Pennsylvania, and near the first couple inches of snow we got, our dog went out and got adjectives excited and was running around and to the end of her chain and didn't really want to come within. I'm guessing she likes running around in the fresh snow or something. Plus when we have approaching 8 inches or so, she'll shove her head in the deeper parts and root around. Just about the lone time she gets all excited like to be precise when there's snow.
Have you been walking it less, or playing external with it less? You may not think that additional 15 minutes you are willing to do in the summer is a big deal but your dog may involve a little extra real exercise (not newly getting set loose). Try doing more shorter walks/ visits if it is too cold.
If you live in Texas and it get really hot in the summer it may be that the dog is too hot to exercise as much as it wants to.
Mine love it when it is cold and also in fall when leaves start falling. They only just run circles and play together in the piles of leaves. Scares me sometimes because of snakes so I try to keep them burned down..but they love it when it is cooler...
Answers: My dogs just took off a hour ago.
soo not like them.
i meditate its the lack of walks. i walk my dogs everyday similar to 3 times, but since its colder its only been like 1 stride..
I have noticed my dogs being unbelievably frisky now that its cold too. When they come inside they are all bouncy, its cute. They act a short time ago like they do after they have gotten a bath...I focus the cold must energize them kind of like us drinking a cup of coffee.
Not mine. We live in Arizona and it's surrounded by the 70's to 80's right now- she loves the cooler weather and relaxes outside much more often instead of sprinting around hyperly like she does within the summer.
My dog goes hyper when it's windy out!! He also get frisky/hyper if he's been out in the rainfall and goes inside - runs around manically till he dries off I guess!
Yes, My Siberian Husky get all hyped-up when Winter arrives... He can't really play in the Summer because he has such gluey fur, so, the first day that it's under 50 degrees, he's bouncing and frolicking adjectives around the yard...
