Does can dog food rot teeth?
A simple yes or no will do, as I was just reading a previous answer and it stated that's a myth. I be going to do a raw diet but decided not to. How about dry food mixed beside canned food?
Get what you rewarded for.
Dogs clean their teeth when they get through. That's why they have all those chew toyes and dog bones out there. If you tender your dog only canned food it can/will eventually rot the teeth b/c the sticky food stays on the teeth. You also run the risk of getting a picky dog if you start giving them can food. If you choose to feed canned, alternate with dry food as capably and if they stop eating the dry food and will only devour the canned, you need to stop giving them the canned food.
Dear Yeah..Yes. In a nutshell we have "bred" the aptitude to clean and digest raw, uncooked, different wave food,by keeping our pets on a grain based diet for generation. In my "shop" I see pets with prem.tooth decay even with regular brushing.Of course the experts will bring up to date you dry grain based foods are killing your pets. Corn is evil and beet pulp is a corporate poison that will generate your dog addicted to that brand. And they'll steer you to websites showing the results of such. They neglect to mention that these sites are paid for in element by these manufac. of the top tier foods. If your pet does well on $45.00 plus food by all means keep hold of him there. BUT, my research shows,I have access to a lab and did a 2 year study on the top foods, these $$$ do not prolong life or craft quality of life better. Now there are exceptions as the lower brands are too course and any benifets are expelled via stoole. I own for generations kept my Boxers on Iams..augmented with a chewable pet vitamin.Nutro Max when on sale. I also ratify this on to my "customers" and feedback is always positive. My pets live long productive healthy lives and my pocket wallet is happier. Oh you should invest in a latex bristled finger brush for your pet. Gentle tooth and gum pat will make pet happy. I've seen the results of using a tooth brush..even a soft kids type. The bristles can cut gum and push food driftwood below gum line. The particals manifest later, even years later, surrounded by the form of nasty bacteria and germs.I know these answers aren't brief but hope they helped. Good luckand tender your pet a pat and hug for me
It will eventually rot their teeth, if wet food is adjectives they are fed.
The tartar will build up and cause greatly of problems.
The dry food will take some of this tartar off.
But giving a dog dry food mixed next to canned is good. It makes the feast more appetizing, and they get a bit of a treat, that's what I feed my dogs.
Raw food is good as all right because the dogs actually have to chew their food (especially bones).
Answers: Not the food itself, but plaque and tartar buildup that isn't scraped off will. Dry crunchy food, regular brushing, a untreated bone or two a week, periodic cleaning by a doggie dentist -- these can prevent tooth decay and gum disease.
Will not rot the teeth but can cause constant loose stools and if feed only canned food, their teeth and gums will get doomed to failure, from no hard dog good to keep them verbs..
do not feed just canned food...I don't even nurture canned food at all, all of it's callous, and none of the ingredients contain enough protein for dogs...canned food is all by products, no thing how much they say is all meat...read the labels..
It really depends upon the contents of the food, but overall, gummy substances are the worst point for teeth, whether canine or human.
Very poor quality 'food' such as Cesar's, Pedigree, Purina, Alpo, Dad's, and store brands like Grrreat Choice and stuff like that are full of fillers, sugars, preservatives and dyes. This creates a gluey product that will guzzle away the enamel and promote gum disease, which we know promotes heart disease. Higher quality foods like Eagle Pack and Natural Balance own real meat and no fillers, corn, preservatives or dyes.
Stick with a high-quality, preferably natural dry food mixed with fresh, raw muscle and organ meats and meaty bones, and your dog should own minimal 'doggy' breath and gorgeous teeth.
Hope this helps!
If it is of low quality it might do.
Yes. If you don't bestow them any dry food how will their teeth keep strong? If you only feed them can food their teeth will weaken. Dry and canned food would work fine!
