Dog foot/paw covers... do they work?
I was at Petco yesterday and saw that they sell little booty type things for dogs.
I was wondering whether this would be beneficial or just annoy the dog?
When I take my dog on walk, her paws do get irritated sometimes because she refuses to pace on the grass unless she's about to do her business... otherwise, she's on the sidewalk.
I have be noticing her licking them lately so I was wondering if purchasing the booties might be a righteous idea?
Does anyone have any experience with them?

To most dogs, its simply annoying and they will walk funny with their legs stuck straight out lol. You can try them on your dog and if he doesnt resembling them take them back lol.
I deem it depends on how often you use them and exactly what type of terrain you are going over. In your case, licking at the foot is more likely a sign of allergies. If booties are used frequently on a dog, they become quite used to them, and can protect their pads from hot surfaces, rough or sharp edges, or substances that could spoil the skin/pads. Most house pets do not need booties.
Answers: The dog would eventually procure used to them, even if they were initially annoying.
They are a good notion for a dog that has to walk on the sidewalk, both for summer and winter reasons. In the summer the sidewalk is hot (even contained by the afternoon) and in the winter, sometimes sidewalks/roads are salted, which can be hard on a dog's paws.
I work at a pet store and we sell shoes for your dogs. They enjoy soles on the bottom and wrap tightly around the dogs foot/ankle. Most dogs get use to them but some don't like them. I would say they're worth a try.
They can be useful if you can find your dog used to them. My dog hates them, but I plan to work on that so she will get better about wearing them. We travel hiking in the country and there are stickers out there, boots would protect them from the stickers and other irritants. Go for it whether you think you can get your dog to wear them.
We had boots for my weim but hold never mad her wear them because when we first put them on she absolutly hated them.
