Doxies, Grapes, and Almonds?
I have a doxie, standard but VERY small for breed, who loves to eat grapes. I have hear grapes are bad for dogs, but i don't know why or if it isn't true. She also LOVES almonds. I hate them, so when she is close me, I toss her almonds as treats. I also give her cheese, but in moderation. She seems fine, but do the grapes hold something to do with her stunted growth? I need to know this!
grapes cause serious liver problems, but I've never heard of stunted growth. All the things you mentioned are very discouraging for dogs. Cheese won't kill her, but it makes them throw up.
Dogs should not have grapes or nuts.
raisins which come from grapes are toxic to dogs, ask your vet.
raisins
grapes
any kind of nuts
chocolate
melons
none of the above should ever be fed to a dog,,,the nuts can incentive an intestinal blockage...
this goes for any dog, not just Doxie's
Answers: Grapes won't stunt a dogs growth, but can lead to some serious vigour problems..discomfort, vomiting, diarrhea, and can even cause issues with their kidneys. I wouldn't keep feed them to your dog. I don't know about almonds though...nuts have a lot of fiber and may interfere near their bowel movements.

As one Doxie owner to another, STOP with the grapes. No raisins, they are grapes too. Grapes can do weaken internally that you can't see. I would worry about choke with the almonds and cheese have too much salt. (tiny bit of cheese OK)
Grapes are bad,why is poorly contained.Almonds are fine. From the first line of this question,I thought it was a sick up to date salad
