Given The Case Do You Think Her Puppies Will Be Ok?
My dog became pregnant her 1st heat, which I know is not good. But resting on that the father of the puppies is also her brother from a different litter. They're one year apart. [BTW None of this was intentional. Personally I wish it would have never happen but, unfortunately I can't do anything about it now.] I freshly want to know if the puppies are going to be alright.
--And please don't tell me to get the dog fixed it's already surrounded by my agenda. And also, please don't waist your or my time by trying to preach to me. I already know.
It is NOT TOO LATE!
Spay TODAY!
& no,the pups will NOT "be alright"...they'll be yet another BYB-ed litter of junk.
The puppies will probably be fine. Contrary to popular belief, even top notch breeders will "line breed" which money breeding dogs from the same genetic pool. Example: Uncle to neice, granddaughter to grandfather, etc. Usually as long as the dogs are not from the exact same litter, they should be okay. As far as her age affecting the pups, she may have a hard time beside delivery, so you need to watch her additional close when it comes time for her due date. If she struggles too much, she may need to go to the vet for an emergency c section. Make certain that she is on a very high quality puppy food so that she's getting plenty nutrients
Answers: Bottom line: Any recessive traits (including genetic health problems) present in the dogs' bloodlines is possible to show up in the litter.
If their background is full of exemplary, genetic-tested examples of the breed, fewer problems are feasible. If they are the result of generations of backyard breeding with no genetic testing, more problems are credible.
Like my Uncle Tony always said, "these puppies' family tree don't fork". Every gene is doubled, and carried recessives will be expressed. Anyone you sell one of these puppies to should be aware of the potential vigour complications.
As for the whelping itself, an immature b*tch is always going to suffer, since the developing puppies will be taking the nutrients she needs to develop herself. Depending on the breed, she may probable require a c-section, and may produce no milk.
You need to make sure she is getting the best possible nutrition surrounded by order to try to compensate for the nutrients she is losing to the puppies.
I assume she is too far along to spay?
whether not too far along she can be spayed . may cost a little more, depends on the vet. also, as far as health if she does hold pups, it is 50/50. they could be ok on the outside not the inside. or they could be just fine. or, if sometihing is wrong beside them the dog may sense it and kill the pups. this seems awful to us humans, but make sense to mother nature.
go to the vet, get an estimate.
depends on how pregnant she is. you might not be too late.
i have a cousin, that the same entity happened to their pit bull female. she and her brother got hooked up. she be a lovely dog, but the pups that came out were really something else. one looks like his frontage was squashed, eyes too far apart. i don't trust the dogs though (not because they are pits, i have 5) because they are just downright strange.
I would abort. Sounds like at hand is a good possibility these puppies will have profoundly of problems that they don't deserve to have, being inbred. Talk to your vet about it. For the puppies' sake, please abort presently.
I'd really chitchat to your vet about possible abortion of the puppies. If she is too far along, I'd keep on top of check ups on the puppies to gross sure things are going alright. It's also a way to find out before birth whether there is going to be anything wrong with the puppies.
im pretty sure that they'll be jsut fine but embezzle her to your vet
BTW a close friend just had the same point happen to her except for the age issue. her two dogs just subjectively got pregnant lol
don't worry the puppies will be fine
It may not be too unpunctually to get her spayed. Ask your vet, as it could well be for the best.
Don't worry, i won't preach you, these things happen and i feel sorry for you!
The pups should be in recent times fine! My dogs father was also its brother from another litter! (also accidental!)
The puppies should be fine. Unfortunately, dogs don't operate by the "she's my sister, so it's wrong to do her" mentality. They simply do what is intuitive to them. Continuous inbreeding generations down the line could cause some primary problems with health and behavior, but I would not worry roughly speaking the pups this time around. If you get her spayed now, they would have to abort the puppies, and that a short time ago doesn't sit right with me, but that is a personal decision. I would be more worried almost the mama dog, being that she is so young. Sometimes, their health will suffer and she may necessitate a c-section to deliver the pups or she may not know what to do with the pups once they come. Just keep an eye on her when the time comes. I would go ahead and go and get her fixed as soon as the pups are weaned. I think the hardest part will be finding the pups homes. Sounds like you do from the bottom of your heart care for your pup, and I wish you the best of luck.
