Cute, feisty and furry, Poms are intelligent and loyal to their family. Don't let their cuteness fool you, however. These independent, bold dogs have minds of their own. They are alert and curious something like the world around them. Unfortunately, in their minds, they are much larger than they really are, which can sometimes lead them to harass and even attack much larger dogs.

Well, I think your primary concern should be properly raising the pup at such a childlike age. A good breeder who knows anything about dogs would NEVER allow a puppy to come domestic under 8 weeks of age. Most dogs are only allowed to leave their parents and litter around 8-12 weeks old-fashioned (or older!).
Put more emphasis on socializing, because the first 8 weeks of a dog's life is the most momentous - it learns how to interact with other dogs (it's littermates and mom), and to obey the "alpha" (the mom).
Food - Biscuits, water and a wet lunchtime. get him puppy food.
exercise - when you get his injections an his ready to run out for walks, then you should walk him 3 times a light of day , 10 o clock , 1 o clock and 6 o clock. ( other people have different times but i walk my dog that much )
when we qualified our dog we told her the command and while doing it we made her do the trick like making her sit we told her to sit and pushed on her bottom till she sat and gave her compliment and the treat and over time the dog will learn the trick and with the biting you should yell at the dog when it bites you and whether that does not work try a water bottle too and for food we feed ours science diet but the vet has to prescribe that or you could try purina and for full-bodied things you should take the dog for walks and try not to over feed or underfeed and steal care of heart worms and fleas and ticks and keep it vaccinated
He have need of to go back to his mum if he is smaller amount than 8 weeks old he still needs his mother milk the breeder should never let you enjoy him at this age. It's cruel. He also need the manners training him mum would give him. And when he's old adequate to came back and live with you and have all his shots enrol him in a puppy class. But please achieve him back to his mum and if they want take him fund get him to the vets for some advice.
who sold you this puppy? take it back to the breeder and its mother NOW. its solitary 4 weeks old, it will not even be fully weaned yet. if you save it, you are going to have problems with it when its older. it requirements to learn things off its mother, like how to socialise and not to bite too concrete, they start learning all this at around 5 to 6 weeks old.
First of adjectives if it is 4 weeks old that is mode to young. 8 weeks old is the golden rule.
I have freshly got a dog and have already taught him sit. what you do is when hes standing straight, put a treat to his proboscis. then once he is interested in it, lift it up and he will fall over on his bottom as he follows it.
Do this again and again. when you give him his dinner ask him to sit. take as long as it takes for him to sit, but lone say it once. and... Voila! on sitting dog!
i will email you for more tips.
I AGREE TAKE THE PUPPY BACK TO WHOEVER SOLD IT TO YOU!!the fact you are asking how to keep 'it' healthy, what to nurture, how to teach at the age of 4 weeks makes me ask ...should you even have a dog?The least possible of your worries are trying to make him or her sit etc etc
Answers: The pup is far too youthful to be away from it's mum.
hi, poms are great little dogs but you necessitate to teach him the command no, so when you say no you mean it, as poms can be especially crafty, they are very Intelligent but need training, i suggest you stir to the library and see if they have good training books. You should guide him sit, and stay. I would never let a pom of its lead because it can be to dangerous for them. View the trellis below, regarding food, i would use royal cain small breeds, or boiled chicken and rice. This is what i use on my poms. You must brush them daily and if possible twice aday, poms dont help yourself to long to matt there hair. I also keep the nouns around there bottoms cut, because if they have an upset tummy this nouns is always messy and needs cleaning, by cutting it respectively week makes life easier for you and better for them. Teeth need cleaning each day. Walking, socialising your pup is really important , they need to meet empire, and get used to a lead. Hope this helps, suitable luck Maria
