Hip scoring on dogs.?
If 2 dogs with bad hip scores be to breed and have puppies does it necessarily mean the puppies or 100% guaranteed going to have doomed to failure hip scores? It doesn't concern me I was just wondering.
Technically, no... but pretty much, yes... it's a guarantee.
It's all in the genes. It's possibly not 100%, but it's more than likely most would suffer as adults.
simple genetics... yeah.. you own about a 75% chance at the very smallest.
idk anything bout tat stuf but id think at tiniest a 90% chance maybe idk look it up!
Answers: It's not guaranteed, but it's awfully likely.
An X friend of mine had a litter of puppies who's father had such impossible hips we used his X-rays at the vet clinic I worked at to show what sever hip dysplasia is (no idea what the mothers hips were like but they be not extremely bad). Every single dog in the litter ended up with dysplasia. (The one I kept, knowing the risk, individual made it to 6 months before I decided his pain be not fair to him)
