How can i take my dogs RESPECT??
I have a less than a year old Standard Poodle womanly. When i call her sometimes she comes to me and sometimes she doesnt. How can i get her respect to follow me or just come when i explain to her to?
hi!! we own a grown standard poodle and she was a little hard. what we did be when she came to us we gave her a treat. when she didnt come we had to shift find her and sit her down for a minuite and just sit there. if u phone her name over and over and she eventually cames teach her to sit down shake then seize a treat. it worked for us :))
You can give her treats whenever she comes to you, Call her identify and clap so she will notice and when she comes you feed her a treat. You do this a few times and she will start to come more often, also whenever she comes you pet her on the go before. Remember, clapping your hands is important.
try pat her or giving her a treat when she does come to you. try to show her your respect and trust.
I consider the come command as the most important command you can initiate your dog...save my dog running to the traffic! Poodle is very smart, so I am very certain you can teach her in no time.
I have a Newfoundland puppy. Since the first sunshine he's home, regularly through out the day, I will call his term and say come, then I show him a treat..My puppy is SO FOOD MOTIVATED. He will come to me 10 out of 10 times this way. Gradually he associates "BonBon Come..." as "yeah! mommy get treats..I am going to mommy"
He is 5 months old now. I will say whether we are indoor, he will come almost 100% when I call him. Outdoor, with adjectives the distractions...I will say he will come to me 90% of the time.
One thing though, make certain you cut the treats into tiny pieces...you don't want chubby poodle. :)

Positive reinforcement. Kind of corny and old-fashioned but it's said to work. Basically if your dog obeys you, you make available her a treat. Don't spoil her. She will then react to the positive reinforcement, knowing her actions warrant a reward. Although, nearby could be negative messages to this as well.
What if your dog does capture spoiled. Im not the best with pets, but there should be a wealth of info whether you google it.

its a issue of trust, the dog must knnow you and feel like you are not a threat before she can fully trust you and follow you around. contribute it some time, spend time with her, eventually she will start to like it alot =]

make them do what you say EVERYTIME
if he get away with something he will think he's within charge

put the song "respect" on repeat for 7 1/2 hours and see if it works. j/k :-)

It'll be hard work but it will be worth it.

Be carful with the "Positive Reinforcement" your dog will respect the treats not you and may slowly stop coming.
And beware those tv shows. It say at the begining 'These techniques should not be proformed without a professional' or something like that for a foundation. One man tried something that Ceasar did and was attacked by his friend's dog (it was on the news).
you need to start watching the Dog Whisperer. Cesar Milan will show you how. Thats what he does. i have tried his tecniques and they work!
Well, It Is very hard If You Have A Dog that is sluggish. But If You still want to try you can. You could give your dog a treat when he or she comes to you. and also you could go lay beside him or her and pet him or her.
Yell at her to come to you. Lure her with treats, then slowly stop giving her treats.
u tell her whos a righteous dog when she comes and give her treats also show her she is got it made dont spoil her but play with her and thieve her on walk try this for 1-2 mouths

You could watch some other the other shows similar to Dog whisper or It's me or the dog, but to get my dog to come to me i would keep calling his given name then i would give him a treat when he comes and i pat his head and influence good boy. I kept doing this for a long time and soon enough he comes to me when i call him. My dad used to enunciate show him who is boss but i say just be a best friend to him.
Buy her jewels and give her change gifts
Take her to a professional trainer or train her yourself, but also make sure that your command is distinct. If it follows your normal voice stencil, than your dog might not actually understand you. You might want to learn convinced words in another language, I suggest japanese, that would be undemanding for your dog to ascertain.
