How can I potty train my Lhasa Apso?

I just got a 10 week old Lhasa and I hold had 2 others in the past, however next to the cold, rainy weather I cant get him to go external!! I live in seattle so the grass is ALWAYS wet and he hates even standing contained by it. The second we get inside where its thaw out he pees everywhere! The past puppies ive had I trained in the summer and have NO problems. Also, he uses his puppy pad about 50% of the time...
I'm assuming you don't imply with a toilet and you mean housebreak? You really just own to deal with the rain. Take him out contained by the rain and don't go back surrounded by until he goes. Or take him out, if he doesn't progress, crate him for 10 minutes and then try again. Crates are the best way to housebreak a dog, but do not abuse the crate by going away your dog in there for more than a few hours at a time.
He's only 10 weeks old. It's no wonder he does not like the precipitation. And I live in Seattle - the rain hasn't been that fruitless lately. He is probably also a little nervous of the dark or the turn.

But - you are confusing him -- by having pee pads inside -- he thinks that he CAN pee inside so -- why not??!!

Decide -- are you going to hold him pee on pads inside for the next 15 years? Or is your objective to own him pee outside? Get your crate-training skills ready! Here's a great set of potty schedules.

So - embezzle him "far away" from the house. He's still small -- carry him down the block or far into the backyard. Have him walk back. 10 to 1 - he will not be capable of "hold it" having that long of a walk. Also - train that "wet" is good. Have you done any clicker-training? -- it is really fun and works intensely well with my dogs. Do little training sessions when the grass is wet/damp. Set him down on it and give him tiny bits of treats. Make him associate individual on the wet grass with a reward. Then set your standard higher - you place him on the sidewalk - and go and get him to step voluntarily onto the wet grass -- more treats. Make the fact of being external really special and treat filled -- especially if it's bucketing or windy. Also, he may be fuzzy but he doesn't really have much of a fur coat yet -- you might consider getting one to keep hold of him warm and dry.

GOOD LUCK with your new sweetie!!

Answers:    Sounds to me like you are going to enjoy to train him for inside. Use the pee pee pads, and don't even try standing out in the rain, whether you could put them in a utility room or extra bathroom, that doesn't get much use. But it sounds resembling you are not going to get him to go outside, so train him for inside. I don't see that you own a choice. Maybe when he gets older and the weather is better, he will go external.
wipe his pee using a newspaper or something and put it at the place where on earth you want him to pee. Bring him over there to let him smell his urine.
Also remove any traces of his pee in the places where on earth you don't want him to pee. Keep training him like that and he will get used to it.
