How can you get hold of rid of a dogs tick?

My dog has a tick just above his tail, but we can't remove it. We aren't able to go and get it removed by the vet so what are the methods to get rid of it? Thanks.
Are you sure it's a tick, and not a mole or some kind of skin tag or tumor?

Ticks come rotten pretty easily, like the other writers say, beside tweezers or a papertowel. Pull off slowly trying to get the head. You can also paint it first beside nail polish.wait 5 minutes , then pocket it off...hoping that makes it pull it's herald out on it's own.

Be sure to put iodine, perodine, or peroxide, and then Neosporin on the bite mark as ticks can convey some nasty bacterias.

I don't think you need a vet, to remove a tick.

If you're within high tick area, try Advantix. works good !
how to easily remove a tick from your dog without pulling it out. The tick will crawl out on it's own and you won't own to deal with 'did I get it adjectives out?'. This sounds like a magic trick and you might even think it is, I did. My sister inlaw have been telling me how to do it for quite a while and I purely never tried it, because I didn't think it would work. One day when I was at the vet getting my dogs their twelve-monthly shots, my vet found a tick and removed it using this method and I was sold.

I easily remove about 20 ticks a year from my two dogs. When I used the out-of-date way, which was get your tweezers as close to the guide of the tick and pull straight out, it would often leave parts of the tick losing. Ticks seem to like areas near the eyes and ears, which would move out marks and scars that wouldn't ever go absent.

So how do you do it?
Rub the tick in a circular motion and pretend you're trying to make the tick dizzy. I generally stick beside one direction, clockwise. It usually takes less than a minute, so whether it's not working, make sure the body of the tick is moving around. Remember you can't attain dizzy unless you're actually moving in a circle, quickly. I doubt the tick in fact gets dizzy, but they sure don't like something roughly speaking the movement and they crawl out on their own.
Use some slanty-tipped, medium sized tweezers. Grab the tick at the base, because then it wont vomit into your dog's tail.

If you want, you can keep hold of the tick in a jar to take to a vet to test it for Lymes disease.

Of course, you should rinse your hands. That's a given.
put cooking grease on the tick. this will suffocate it and force it to latch off of the dog. then get tweezers and pluck it bad. ticks carry lime disease so take proper care of the dog after ward such as making sure your dog has had its proper vaccination. if you are leaving your dog outside for long period of time they are more prone to contracting diseases or catching fleas or ticks. if your dog is an "outside" dog as in that's where it spends most of its time (or sleeps outside) obtain it a flea collar.
Why cant you go to the vet.
Thats kind of stupid.
:)
well sence you can't remove it by the vet um yu could maybe find lotion at a pet store for that you simply put it on the tail and that should do it so ya good luck with that
Try getting it out with hot water, that should loosen it, after take something to pinch it with (If you use tweesers be careful not to pop it) later slowly pull it out.
you do not have to go to the vet for on little tick.Just capture a special type of shampoo and use it when you are washing your dog.
all you have to do is get a rag towel or tissue and pull it off. very simple if truth be told.
put rubbing alcohol on it and then pull it out. It may be firm to pull but the alcohol helps the tick let dance.
Answers:    Just get a pair of tweezers, grip the tick close to your dogs body minus nipping the skin, and then pull it straight out,you may own to pull quite hard, they do attain a good grip on your dog, then crush it to make certain it's dead or it could get back on your dog. You can apply some antiseptic cream to the nouns to help clean it, it may go red and swell for a time but this is normal and will settle down after a few days.
get a tik remover in a pet shop romove it and ue the get stuff that prevents ticks from coming rear SIMPLE AS THAT
After removal and treating the area, bring a good flea and tick liquid that you put on the dog's back. It will take home the "not taste good" to ticks.
You bring back hemostats or tweezers and PULL it off. SIMPLE!
