How do I procure my dog to progress on walk beside me?
She is about 15 weeks old, is she old plenty? When I try to walk her all she does is sit and whine. She won't walk beside me. She is a chihuahua/ dachshund mix.
She'll probably come with you soon, she's probably going through separationa anxiety from leaving hr old place and her inherited, so is scared to leave her new place incase your taking her somewhere.
Take her for a drive to an oval and consent to her have a littlesniff, and then take her domestic again, if you do this a few times she'll realise you'll always take her domestic.
Though she is still very young, she can be pursuaded to meander with you with patience.much mercy.
Take a few pieces of her dry food with you, and as you walk, talk her into walking next to you gently by holding a small piece of kibble in front of her as you are walking. You can also ask her to sit after a little walking is done, and afford her a piece of dry kibble as a reward for a job well done.
Give it time and patience, and you may reap the rewards contained by a short time. When they are so young and are not use to going on walks beside a collar and a leash, it can be confusing to them.
:oP
you could try luring her next to food as she walks with you
As long as she has all her shots up to date then, yes, she can travel out. My golden had to be dragged for the first while, too, but go out for about 5 minutes a couple of times a morning and soon enough she'll get used to it and will love it. Go slow, and be patient. Don't verbs. Just let her go at her own pace. Soon, she'll realize that adjectives the smells and the new people and dogs are fun.
Answers: You have to make walking something she enjoys. A puppy have never experienced the leash before and could just think its horrible.
Try bringing treats along and every time she moves towards you on leash treat and compliment her. If she just refuses to walk anymore than thieve her in for awhile and try again later. Try a harness too if you are not using one as a collar may verbs on her little neck.
Put a leash on her because "unleashed is unloved" and step a few steps surrounded by front of her call her name excitedly and take a step spinal column have her follow you this way..she'll get it.
Yes-now is a good time to train her. Be certain to make it as fun for her, as possible. Just keep taking her for short walks so she get the idea. Reward her after her walk. Remember-you are training HER-don't let her train YOU.
