How do i keep hold of my dog?

i got a dog for my fifteenth birthday and he is a good dog. he is a puppy and of course he like to chew on things he also goes in the house a lot this want a problem for a while i thought it be weird that he was just going external to do his business instead of inside and now that it is Christmas time we have a tree up and he like to pee on that now he is also chewing on everything in sight and i cant trust him when i am at academy and my parents at work. the weird thing is that when he pees near the tree he does it right contained by front of everyone i never had a dog that would just go right within front of me ive tried punishing him but that doesn't work. i love this dog and really do not want to see him go and neither does my little sister my mom is having another baby and say she doesn't need the "stress" but this is typical of my parents they always bring home a puppy but draw from rid of it a month later because they give up he is in serious threat of leaving my house please tell me how i can stop my dog from peeing and chewing (we have already tried sprays for chewing and when we spray him next to water he just opens his mouth to drink it)
Answers:    Take the dog out habitually. When you can't supervise, crate the dog. Contact your local kennel club, you can sign up for a puppy class.
Have you considered a professional trainer? They will really be able to help you. There should be one within your area that will come to your home for a few hours and help you out.

You also want to completely get rid of the pee smell or he will keep going in that place. You can receive products like 'phew go' that remove the odor.

When toilet training a puppy you need to take it to where on earth you want it to go every hour.

If you can't trust the dog while you are not home lock it in the bathroom/laundry/garage next to toys, food and water. That way it can't make a big mess.

I work surrounded by an animal shelter and see so many animals that are surrendered for reasons like this, but the owners aren't liable to try training. It stresses the animal out and often means the dog won't bond with the subsequent family that takes him home and so he will come spinal column to us.

Please try everything before you give up the dog. When getting an animal, it is a pet for life, not simply a toy or accessory. Please do the right thing by this puppy and get a trainer.
Is it ok for a dog to chomp through their puppies poop?   When I pilfer my dog(lab) to the park to play beside other dogs. One dog nip when playing - why?   Where can i find a tea cup puppy for lower next $600?   I notice, the down on my dog's final sometimes rises. I'm concerned.?
