How do i carry my parents to read aloud yes to getting a up to date puppy?
we already have two dogs and they say we don't have the room for it. but our dogs are atmosphere size and we have plenty of room for the kind i want... i want to get for a time yorkie puppy but they refuse. how do i get them to say yes? i'm going to be sixteen close to christmas time so it would be a great christmas endowment.
I want a dog soooooooooooooooooooo bad but my parents wont let me gain one either! I don't have evan 1 or anything but i sure do want 1!
Save up ample money for YOU to be the one to pay for all it's costs, including potential emergencies. Spaying alone costs around $400. A sterilize is around $300. Add in about $20 every month for food. $20 every month for flea prevention. $20 every month for heartworm prevention. $75 for a crate. $50 for toys. $200 for obedience course. $50 per vet exam, at least one a year. $75 for vaccines the first year, $75 for vaccines the second year, then $40 most years and $75 every three years. $50 the first two years for license and then $50 every three years after that. Emergency fund should be at least $2500 as a single night at the emergency clinic, for JUST an exam, adjectives blood work, and IV fluids is $1200.
So... Do you have almost $1,500 for his/her first year of life? Do you hold $4,000 ready for puppy use?
If you can do that, if you can set aside that money, show your parents that you will not touch it except for the dog, after maybe they'll consent to let you have one. Because unless YOU compensate for EVERYTHING it's not your dog. It's theirs. And that's what they're looking at.
Oh, and a good quality yorkie puppy is about $700. So let's bump that total up to nearly Five Thousand dollars.
I'm not saying this to be mean or discouraging, just spot on. My own mix breed dog has cost me over $6,500 in his first year of life due to two through illnesses that required e-clinic visits, and major hospitalisation. One was a hemorrhagic gastroenteritis from drinking a dead squirrel potentially, the other was something tick borne. So, are you prepared for all this?
ask for a little brother instead?
Honestly, puppies do not fashion good christmas gifts.. holidays are a stressful time, and puppies are stressed about going to a new domestic.. for the puppy's sake, its best not to get one during the holidays.
Also you have to consider, you are (almost) 16.. in another 2-3 years you will be looking at moving out and going to college.. what happen to the dog then? Very few dorms allow dogs (and there's a huge waiting list for those rooms!).. and its difficult to find affordable housing when you first start out.. its next to impossible to find affordable housing that allows even a small dog!
At your age too, within are other expenses and interests that will be coming up, such as a car and driver's licence.. and your parents may not want the extra expense and responsability of a dog.
I see your parents side-two dogs is a lot to keep up with. But I also see the side of us children, we commonly don't realize just how much our parents do for us. They must pay the vet bills for BOTH of your dogs, and I have two medium-sized dogs as well-I know for a moment ago there yearly/6 monthly check up it can be $500.00+, that's a lot of money! Just try to talk to them, show them why it will be a pious idea-I only get more animals if I can afford to retribution most of their fees/vet bills. Try getting a job, that might help you out. :)
Answers: write a reallyreally persuasive letter to them, telling them the good things going on for getting this dog. then mention like three bad things you know theyll bring up, and describe them why it doesnt matter. example:
"you might say that there isnt any room for an added dog, but keep in mind that its a extremely small dog."
"you might worry that i wont take care of this dog, but you already know that im responsible next to the two dogs i have, and you just have to trust me that i will filch great care with this dog too"
then sneak the communiqu¨¦ into your dads morning newspaper, and slip a copy somewhere your mom will read it. or something like that :]]
i hope i helped!
Seriously. You already have two dogs be grateful. You're 16 right? You're nearly going to college. In about one or two years. Then what are you gonna do? You parents will be the ones stuck with the job. And remember, you already hold two dogs. Isn't that enough already? Don't be greedy. And also, puppies make horrible christmas gifts. And you shouldn't get one for Christmas. Even they agree to you get one, you still have to find a breeder and visit the dogs and everything. Don't concordat with all the trouble, just budge play with your other TWO dogs.
STUPID FIRST ANSWER. Idiot!
You don't need to kill anything. Show responsibility. Make them a promise such as maybe cleaning the living room everyday and taking the two dogs out on walks if they'll buy you the puppy.
But you WILL enjoy to keep that up, especially with the little one.
Also, try asking them why they won't attain you one? other than not having the space. the dog is small, did you point that out? You say you enjoy room, point that out and show them what you mean. Ect.
You need to back up everything you voice to convince them. Thats my secret. Just saying, its a small dog and there's space doesn't cut it. Back it up.
Do you own a b/f? If not, tell them that you are kind of bored at home & probably near start going out with lots of b/friends. They will want you home. So don't but them cause they might consequently plan to surprize you so just be patient. Most parents that celebrate Christmas fib to their kids so they can surprise them on the 25th so they might be doing that now.
suck up to them, say you'll bear care of it, you'll feed it, etc.
Do you take strictness or help out with the first two dogs? If not, I can
see why they don't want a third. Tell them the first two are the
family dogs and the yorkie will be your dog and you adopt all
the responsibility for feeding, walking, grooming, vet bills and
such...Then show them you mean it. This will be in motion a long way
towards showing them you are growing up to be a responsible
young adult.
Yorkies are sooo adorable! I want one too but I know I cannot own a puppy. Show them you're responsible. Also, I hope you know that puppies are not potty trained and they will pee all over the house or furniture unless you potty train immediately. Dogs also need to be walk at least once for 30minutes a day. Are you even ready to knob this responsibility as a pet owner? If your puppy gets sick, are you going to take him to the vet, or are your parents? Who's going to pay the vet bill? Who's going to nurture him when you're gone? These are questions you need to ask yourself. Even though you have two dogs, there's a difference between want and all set.
Tell them, and mingy it, that you will clean up after your puppy. When they are little they do it all over the place and chew on stuff if until they are trained not to. Plus, put a pouty facade when you ask them that. Always works with guys when girls do that. Should work with your parents too.
I'm so sick of kids asking this on here. Your parents are the rulers of the house. What they say, goes. Listen to them until you move out. 2 dogs any size get a little hectic, price wise, craziness wise, ect.
Dr. Dog
Puppies are horrible Christmas gifts.
I'm *younger* than you and I understand what my parents say goes.
C'est la contend.
When you move out, you can have whatever you want.
Until then, own some respect for your parent's decision.
You DON'T ! ! !
You wait until you are old satisfactory to get one on your own.
You can get cheap as_ dogs for about $350 to $700.
To receive a good quality dog, up into the thousands.
Puppy shots & then the rabies approximately $150 or more
It needs to be spayed or neutered about $200 or more
bed can be a card board box whether nothing else
food & water bowles
Food
Vet visits
and so much more.
How much of this can you do on your own right presently? Any of it. Yeah, so all the expense & responsibility goes on your parents. It is their house not yours, you live under their roof.
So your are another Sag too, huh? My BD is the 19-Dec.
If you're consistently responsible, run good care of the other two poochies, and prove that you REALLY, REALLY want a Yorkie puppy, maybe they'll say-so yes.
Make a plan on how you are going to bring care of the puppy, schedule feeding times, hike times, how youre going to train the puppy, etc. Responsibility makes it a lot easier to say yes, so prove that youre responsible satisfactory to take care of one! You might also start by taking care of the other two.
Well I found a puppy on the computer for sale and showed my husband and he couldn't say no. Find the puppy you like and nick a picture. I hope your parents surprise you and buy the dog for you. Good luck!
show how responsible you are. tell them you will wages for some of the dog. say it could be your puppy. you could take care of it and everything. dont mention any impossible things that could happen. only mention good things. hoped it help :D
Show them some pictures and recommend that you will help out with paying for these expenses. I talked my dad into one this bearing and she is arriving next Saturday! :)
Do what my kids do...come home next to one and then tear up and give them an excuse resembling I found him in the road and I didn't want him to get ran over...can we maintain him plz?
Just do resembling my kids, get the dog, then tell the parents after the certainty.
annihilate the old one.
Write up a lsit of arguments and counter arguments for and against getting a puppy, keep improving on your argument until their is no possible counter argument and consequently use your argument :)
Or alternative you could use the beg... it's all i want... christmas present method.
Which ever works best for you.
i am 19 and i have a yorkie!! they are very expensive. to purchase and to keep groomed. whether you have a job it is okay but still very complicated. they are also one of the hardent dogs to potty train.
y dont u tell em that thats wat u want for xmas
n conceivably u cud adopt one n tell em that its 4 a good cause
n afterwards that way there wud b one more animal beside a happy home
:)
put puppy pictures everywhere!! talk bout them 24/7!!
just keep asking them for one eventually they will crack
You convince them that you are responsible enough to take care of it, which may include paying for its food and vet bills. That will steal longer than a few weeks, more like a few years of being a generally responsible individual.
beg until they read out yes... get anoying .. theyll have to say yes to tht.
oh they are getting you one they just want you to quality down and liek you arent going to get it but then the last grant you are going to have to clean puppy pee from your pj's
