How do i train my 5 week behind the times puppy?
You cant train a 5 week old puppy because it hasnt be weaned yet! Take it back to the "Breeder" for its own health and safekeeping!
That's wonderful that you save a puppy and didn't intentionally buy one that young. However, if you have to ask on YA on how to train it, afterwards as honorable as your intentions are, you probably aren't best equipped to handle this job.
If it's a purebred, it's local breed club can help you out. Hopefully, someone who know what they're doing will be willing to foster the dog for you for at least the next 5 weeks. That's a exceedingly short time to sacrifice in exchange for increasing the likelihood that your dog will not have a lifetime of behavioral problems. And it will. To what scope, and how long they'll take before they crop up is debatable and as individual as respectively dog. But trust me, without knowledgeable people helping you out, or doing the undertaking for you, you can alleviate this problem. Get cracking on making some phone calls!

you can not trsin a 5 week frail puppy to do anything, they do not have the brain capability. Why do you have a puppy so young-looking it should be with its mother and siblings still, I would not be surprised if your pup grows to have anxiety or other behaviral issues
Hi. I have a two year old Palpion Poodle and it was not uncomplicated trainging him, but the work I put into it is well worth it now! Of corse there is the technique of squirting them beside a spray bottle when you see them go, or banging pots, but the most effective passageway, as I have done this with all my babies, is to crate train. Many culture are against this idea and say they will never do it, but when done properly, the dog will think of its crate as its secure place. You need to start immediatley. What you do is keep them in their crate, absent from any activity and let them out at certian times (make a schedule explicitly easy for you and that you can keep ) example take him/her out at 7, at noontime, at 2, and 6, and right before bedtime (and only to eat of corse). Do this for at lowest possible three weeks, It will be extremely tough for you not to hold it and play, but the pup must learn that this is its home and that whining is not the answer. Soon she/he will go out when you embezzle it and not when it wants to. And when bedtime comes they will go in in need a fight. You may even catch them going in when they arnt told.This is because they will swot to love their home. hope this helps! good luck!

Toy and small dogs want to be with mom until 10-14 weeks. Most others need to be with mom 8-12 weeks.
is it from the litter or did you receive it from someone? If you got it from a breeder, it needs to be with the mother still until 8 weeks. Depends on the training, what are you looking for? If it's the potty, it's too untimely to take the puppy outside, it doesn't have the shots it wants. The best thing at this age is pee pads. Then when all the shots are up to date and the puppy have all of them then it starts to go external. Crate training is the best.

Treats! I had my dog when she was 4 weeks old, because her mother didn't want her anymore. Like instance, for peeing external. I would make her look at her pee and tell her no.then saunter her outside and push her butt down and tell her "that's where you pee" and dispense her a treat. Just be patient, it took about 3-4 weeks for her to understand. Good Luck!
You shouldnt even be owning a dog if your unschooled enough to get one at 5 weeks.

your not supposed to hold the puppy till 12 weeks(small dogs) what kind of breeder gave you that puppy at that age? it's not even old adequate to get shots yet . What a shame

There are puppy formulas available at the pet store or your vet. I, when I was weaning pups from their mom, mix the puppy formula with some Gerber baby cereal (mixed or rice) and clear a gruel of it (kinda sloppy) warm it and put some on your finger til the pup gets the taste of it. Let him nouns it up and yes, he will be messy. If he is able to do that for a week or so, add some dry puppy food to it, and decrease the amount of cereal. Pretty soon, you will be capable of feed him the puppy food by itself. He, of course, will have to be capable of chew it. You might add a wee bit of warm water to variety it softer for him.

Yeah, there's a few cool tips to use. Its up to you to really stick to it. Remember its just for a couple of weeks. You gotta keep an eye on him for this to work. It's tough but worth it.
1. Try a squirt gun or little spray bottle next to water. Watch him and the moment you see his leg go up...SQUIRT.
2. Try a small empty soda can near some pennies in it and tape the opening. Again when you see him getting geared up to go THROW IT in his direction.
3. Puppy pads at pet stores, they hold this scent only pups can smell and it makes them wanna go while they're on it. You can place them contained by the kitchen corner or bathroom.
