How do I train my dog to not be in motion potty inside?

I have a puppy that is a year old immediately. I have two other dogs that are 4 &5 and they both use the doggy door that leads out to our yard. The elder dogs never go potty inside the house. I was hoping that my puppy would follow what the older dogs do but it doesn't seem to be to be working. When I am home he will use the doggy door but as soon as I leave he decides its ok to shift in the house.

I have tried pee pee pads.. taking him out every hour..etc. Nothing seem to work. I can't continue to constantly clean up his messes inside the house! Help!
buy a urine neutralizer at any pet store and ALWAYS clean up the pee. i would crate train him but remember whether hes really young his bladder will not hold. try the crate training and take him out every 3 hours and always reward when he go outside.

it takes alot of time trust me..

It might be a little more challenging since your dog have already reached the age of one year. But, it's do-able. It just might take rather extra elbow grease and a little more time to boot.

Good luck.
Answers:    I think you may be giving your little dog a bit too much freedom when you're not domestic. If he/she can use the proper procedure when you're home, then you need to vastly gradually help him/her draw on that ability to eventually do it when you're not domestic.

You may need to make the transition easier by shortening the amount of time you're gone, and reward, reward, reward every success. If you're gone a full work year, that's just too much at first when you're training a new dog skill. Start by keeping your dog crated or in a playpen when you're not domestic for long periods, and only give him/her free reign of the house once the potty behavior is superlative. Also, you may need to use a week's vacation from work to just focus on training this one entertainment..

Being able to use the doggy door when you're home, but not during the entire workday is like dictum your child can paint a picture of himself, but can't paint a Rembrandt. There are a lot of small steps in between, and you can't skip them.

set smaller expectations, be very consistent, reward every nouns and be non-emotional and matter of fact about the inevitable mistakes. and by reward, I suggest something that the dog LOVES, like a small bit of chicken, or a fourth of a Snausages snack, or something so very tasty that the dog will be markedly excited to receive as a reward.

good luck!
when he goes potty within the house, rub his nose it it and say "bad dog!".
and when he go outside, say "good boy!". I know it sounds stingy, but he needs to know that thats bad.

my sister has a strange pupy and she's doing the same thing. and she's leaning.
