How do I hold meticulousness of mange?
My dog has symptoms of mange I would like to now what I should do.
lf you feel your dog has mange then you need to gain it confirmed by the vet and get the appropriate treatment.
The mites burrow into the skin and only come to the surface to mate. They cause sever inflammation, making the dog scrape, which causes skin damage, it particularly affects the elbows and hind legs.. infestations produce hair loss, crusting of the skin, skin thickening and ulcers.
lt is central that you seek treatment from the vet, this is not something that will go away by itself.
First, go see a vet to create sure it really is mange instead of some other skin condition.
A vet needs to decide which helpful of mange it is, demodectic or not, and prescribe something. Most mange is no big deal, but some can be really a horror story to deal with.
Once you see the vet, you may be capable of handle the treatment yourself, but there's no way of knowing what to do until the vet decides what it is.
Medical treatment.
Well, first you want to take it to the vet. There are two different types of mange you need to be concerned with, demodectic and sarcoptic mange.
Sarcoptic mange is notably contagious and both canines and humans can get that...since the mite digs into the skin, the dog itches and bites itself so intensley that they cause open sores.
Demodectic mange is not contagious but can be a problem minus treatment. Look for inflamed skin and hair loss. This can also turn into open sores and scabs if a severe overnight case and left untreated. It attackes puppies from about 12 weeks to a year old.
Puppies are certainly born with the mite that causes demodectic mange and are only artificial by it if they have a weakened immune system...virus and stress can weaken the immune system even more and make the case more severe.
My two rescue puppies both have demodectic mange when I rescued them. My female's was bad and we had to bring her to the vet every two weeks to procure "dipped" in a medicinal bath. Hers would flare up in any sign of stress inwardly minutes. My male on the other hand had 3 loney spots that the vet monitored for a few weeks thinking that he could boost his immune system and fight off the mites on his own...and that's exactly what he did!
Good Luck!
go to the vet..visibly
since you aren't a vet then you need to take your dog to one to be certain that your hypothesis is correct because only they can treat the dog for mange (if it is the caring of mange that the dog can be treated for)
IT could be cause by a number of things. Make sure you wash your hand every time you touch your dog. It could be scabies and that is something people can catch.
There is no domestic remedy for these skin problems. You have to have a vet look at a skin scraping to confirm what it is. It could be a food allergy too.
The vet have a special shampoo that smalls of sulfer it's nasty. He will need this special hip bath once a week. I use to have to give these baths to dog as a vet tech.
Take him to the vet they will tell you what it is. Sorry but that's the with the sole purpose way to know for sure what you are dealing with. Skin problems can be due to several things.
have the vet do a skin rub to confirm and then get prescribed treatment from the vet,,,,,,, simple
