How do you potty train a yorkie?
Okay my three year old yorkie can not use a pad. she uses the bathroom all over the floor and that get really annoying. i tried a lot of things but they don't seem to work out. Anyone have any concept to make my yorkie to use sometime decides using the floor? HELP
well one of my best Solutions is to put her outside and then net sure she gose and when she pees on the floor then u need to chastise her and tell her no
i would let her out every 30 mins. and make certain she goes and then let her contained by and say good dog and keep doing that untill she stops peeing surrounded by the house!

Answers: I had a tough time next to my Shih Tzu. SO stubborn!! What worked for my little guy was tons of positive reinforcement and a crate. When I was home, I took him out every hour. Sometimes he peed, sometimes he didn't. When he did - I made it out to be the best entity ever! TONS of praise and his favorite treat. When I wasn't home, I put him in a crate beside a comfy bed and a favorite chew toy which was his rope. He did not like the crate at first, and he cried. It was really rock-hard to walk out the door hearing him whimper. But now, he loves his crate and it is his not detrimental zone - he goes in it and lays down even when I'm home immediately.
When he did have an accident in the house - I do not believe surrounded by hitting them, I would just immediately take him external. If you punish your dog for accidents in the house they don't understand that you are upset because they go in the house - they think you are angry with them for going to the bathroom. So, afterwards they hold it and hold it until they can't hold it anymore and that will just lead to more accidents contained by the house. It took patience and consistency, but he hasn't had an accident contained by the house in more than a year. Good luck...I know how frustrating it can be.
