How much are obediance classes at petsmart?
I just got a new puppy nowadays and was wondering howmuch do all types of the obediance classes cost at petsmart and if they are truely better than say aloud your local vet classes?? plz help
You need to call the petsmart closest to you to find out how much it is and check on-line for a discount coupon that may be offered.
Basic is upright for pups that already have training in the home but have need of socialization with other dogs and people.
We did this with 2 of our dogs mostly for one and he be about 8-9 months old at the time and it worked great and was worth the money for the socialization of other pets and race. He was adopted and did a lot of growing within those 8 weeks.
Basic obedience classes usually run around $100. Classes from a trainer not associated with a manacle pet store are usually pretty similar in price.
Personally I would not recommend going to Petsmart training classes if you enjoy a qualified dog trainer in your area. Petsmart classes are better than nothing and they WILL give support to you teach your dog manners. However, the people they have edification the training classes may or may not actually know much about training dogs (or, more importantly, training people how to train their own dogs). Also, while their training have improved GREATLY with the addition of a physically separate training nouns so that strange dogs can't randomly wander through classes it is not as controlled an environment as most local training classes would have and you could be potentially putting your dog at risk from other (stupid) dog owners who are unpredictably coming and going throughout and after your training session.
Answers: $108 for beginners classes, eight weeks worth of training.
If you get a trainer that is if truth be told a TRAINER, yes, its worth it. If you get someone who just graduated glorious school and took a months worth of classes, no, its not worth it.
Most beginners classes are taught my professionals, but I'd ask who the instructor is and what certifications they have since putting any money down.
Our training was $109 for 8 weeks.
I never had a dog earlier and do well in a structured class. I'm not the best independent study worker. So, taking training classes be great! We made a lot of friends and my puppy got comfortable around other dogs. We also got binders and study guides so we could cart our lessions home.
My trainer was really good and exceptionally nice. He taught us a lot of tricks and saftey tips esp what to do in emergency. I did meet my trainer before I signed up for classes which I recommend.
We learned view, sit, stay, take-it, leave-it, come, wait, lay, shake, and how to walk on a leash. We also had a short time time to learn an extra trick. We discussed proper groomer, vet visits, and any other question we had such as jumping problems or barking.
Also, we get cupons for some PetSmart products so we could get treats for training or a grooming session at a lower rate. I really enjoyed the classes an so did my pup! When we walk up to the pet ring he go crazy and begs to go inside because he remembers how fun it was beside the trainer, other owners, and other pups. When he sees the trainer he's so happy because he remembers how fun it was and wishes treats if he's good.
Meet your trainer and your local vet trainer and then you can agree on. Discuss with each trainer what you'll be going over in course and ask how long they've been teaching to make your verdict.
That depends on what kind of help you need. If you own specific issues to be worked out (separation anxiety, aggression, resource guarding, mouthing, etc.) Petsmart may not be the best place as their "trainers" are only "trained" to teach you the basic nouns in beginner classes (i.e - sit, stay, come, etc). If you don't want to go to Petsmart, you can hunt the Association of Pet Dog Trainers website (I included a link) so that you can try to find a trainer in your area who offers a free consultation and see whether they have something that would fit your schedule/budget/needs.
they're $99 where I live and it's for 8 weeks. It's not bad if you freshly want to do the basic training. they just use the treat method. Don't expect expert help whether your dog has behavioral problem. Petsmart dog trainers are far from being an expert.
