How much/How commonly should I nurture my Teacup Chihuahua?

I have a 5 mo. old tea cup chihuahua (i just get her today :D )
I don't know how often or how much I should feed her.
HELP!
hi,

A puppy eat a lot of food. From birth up to six months of age, he'll need to eat two to four times as much as an developed dog to support all that growth. A good rule of thumb (paw?) is that after his first week of life, when his weightiness doubles from what it was at birth, a puppy should gain one to two grams per pound of anticipated adult weight respectively day. This means that if your German Shepherd puppy weigh 75 pounds as an adult, he should gain three to five ounces per day as a puppy.
here are some guidelines:

hope this helps.

I'm founder of SugarNSpice Chihuahuas and have bred, Champions and Grand Champions and many many tiny ones that citizens call teacups.

You've got to be very fussy that your little one doesn't have a hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) attack. That looks like weakness, sloth, seizures, or coma.and can cause death.

Your little Chihuahua (called a teacup so ancestors will realize they're fragile like china cups) needs super premium food, and needs to get through at least 4 times a day. Don't feed cheap food or food near grains like corn, wheat , soy, or white rice. Or cheap preservatives, or is stale or moldy or contaminated. Your little one could collapse , and cost you a huge vet bill, if you're lucky. And die whether you're not. Huge dogs have stronger stomachs and constitutions.

Here's a website that explains food quality in a video. It's the best dog food contained by the US and what I feed at our 150 dog Pet Resort.

You can give your little one Nutrical about 1/2 inch beforehand going to bed to make sure it has plenty of calories and sugar to carry it thru the night, while it's still under stress from being moved to a strange home.

You can give your baby vanilla yogurt, a teaspoon 3x a sunshine, for good digestion and appitite. And bits of cooked chicken and chedder cheese for training and bonding. But keep treats down to 10-20% of daily intack and kibble 80-90% . Chihuahuas involve balanced diets, and the dry food to keep their teeth clean.

Also, don't exhaust your babe-in-arms. She shouldn't play or be loose in the house all day. Much better to be kept surrounded by a puppy exercise pen with food/water dishes on one end, bed in the middle and litter box on the other fall. The first 30 days , at least, she should stay in there, when you're not holding her watching tv..or playing next to her on the floor...so she gets plenty of rest. Keep the pen between the living room and kitchen so she's still WITH you.

Also, if you keep your house beneath 75 degrees, make sure your chihuahua have a heated bed, get a Lectro Kennel mat at www.revivalanimal.com do a search for Lectro Kennel on their site. Get the one that stays 102 degrees, and is chew proof and marine proof, and put it under her bed. Teacups can't sleep with you or be up on furniture, when you're not holding them, because a fall will break or take out them.

Enjoy your baby. Nobody loves you like your Chihuahua loves you, and Happiness really IS a warm puppy.

she is 5 months old, she should get give or take a few 1/4 cup of dry food 3 times a day. High quality dog food lik wellness or red bandana.
i would enunciate maybe half a cup morning and night

my dog would drink non-stop if i let her
but some dogs you can will the food out and they will only eat when they are hungry

you should ask the place you got her from what and how repeatedly they fed her
a moment ago a teacup full.
1/4 of a cup 2-3 times a day
Answers:    It really depends on what food you are feed, the high quality foods you can feed smaller number, but the lower ones, you feed more, but since your dog is a runt, she might need more to keep up it's strength. I would nurture her 2 times a day, once in the morning and once at night.
