How to train bichon frise?
like house train them, train them to be quiet etc.
I thought a bichon frise was a Starbuck's kind of coffee drink.
You must use a crate to train her.
I enjoy a Bichon and it took about a year to potty train her. At first, she kept on eating her poop, so I decided to put hot sauce on it so she would not close to it. Though, I bought the wrong brand and accidentally put barbecue sauce on it! She liked it even more. I got her potty trained since I went to a pet training course at the shelter. Truly, you might want to get her trained at the experts. If money is an issue, then pick up a few dog training books from the library. Good Luck, and have fun near your new little angel! :)
Answers: Training a bichon frise is just close to training any other kind of dog. For house training, take it outside every few hours. When it urinates or defecates surrounded by the yard, praise it with a elevated, happy, excited voice. "Good dog, <insert name>, very good puppy!" That giant, happy tone is called a praise tone and it get them excited and makes them realize what they have done is a good entity. If the dog has a good play drive, reward with a toy, or whether not, a small treat.
On the same page, if the dog makes its mess contained by the house, use a low, sharp corrective tone "No, <insert name>, bad dog!" Immediately take the dog outside to see whether it will finish its business there. If it does, reward it again with that compliment tone. It's about reinforcing the good and the bad.
These same corrective tones can be used for everything else, from bark, to coming, to walking nicely on a leash. For dog training, there are three main tones that we use:
1. Praise: glorious, happy, excited. Reinforces good behavior.
2. Command: brisk, professional. Brings the dogs attention to the command.
3. Corrective: low, deep, sharp. Tells the dog that its behavior is disappointing.
Another example is responding to the word "come". Start with the dog on the end of a leash, back absent from it, and tell it with your command tone to "come." If the dog doesn't come to you, do NOT punish it, but pull it to you next to the leash and then use the praise tones to talk to it when it does catch to you. NEVER call a dog to you to be punished! Always go to the dog to punish or it will learn that coming is unpromising.

hi,
No dog is born next to good manners. Pooping on the carpet, leaping enthusiastically onto guests, pulling so unyielding he practically yanks your arm out of the socket when on walks--that's all without fault acceptable in the canine world. It's up to you to teach your dog to act the way we humans want him to. Not training your dog and expecting him to be pleasant to live with is like never sending your child to academy and expecting him to ace the SATs.
here are some guidelines:

hope this helps.
for the house training..you need to take the dog external every couple of hours, stay out there with the dog, and when it pees or poos give it ridiculous amounts of compliment...also, it will, be easier to housetrain your dog if you feed it at regular times each daytime rather than free feeding...eventually your dog will understand that its supposed to do its trade outside and probably even let you kno when it needs out.bichon, training to be gentle, thats a bit harder, they like to bark..just don.t squeak at it when its barking...they may think you are joining in..
Good luck, they are bullheaded little buggers, most race crate train them
