I am looking for a small breed dog similar to a yorkie or a maltese somewhere on those lines i can solitary afford ?

150.00 dollars and i live in the st.paul minneapolis area if any one know where i can fond one that would be great thanks for all your assistance and i would greatly appreciate no rude or mean comments i always appear to get some of those thank you and have a happy holiday
Well if you can only afford a dog for $150 dollars later i wouldn't get a dog. I'm not being mean, I'm simply telling the truth. Getting a dog is like adopting a kid. There will be emergency vet bills that may cost $100's and possibly even $1,000's of dollars. Then you also need money just for check ups and shots. It costs about $35 merely for the office visit just to saunter in the door. That doesn't even include any of the shots needed or de-worming. That is an additional $45 or more for all of that over the $35. Then to Spay/Neuter your dog is very costly. Can cost $350 or more to Spay/Neuter the dog. Then there is also the extra expense on dog toys, cleaning supplies during the time when you're potty training the dog. And most importantly a well brought-up nutritious diet for the dog. If you buy a dog food that's cheep then it's not a good quality food and your dog can suffer from frequent health problems from the poor quality diet.

Need i say more?
You potential will consider any legitimate comment to be 'rude and mean' -- either mode, you cannot get a decent quality dog for that amount and would merely be getting something breed irresponsibly and likely unhealthy and not any flawless quality. You can go to a rescue or shelter and see about adopt one for that amount - check the parent clubs of the breeds you mentioned and they should have a contact for rescue of their breed.
Well bred dogs cost about a thousand dollars. On your budget, you should consider adopting a dog. Check Petfinder.com or dance to some local shelters.
HI at hand, try your local shelter or the pound. They often have pure breed dogs and they usually charge singular a nominal adoption fee. You can also check www.petfinder.com. It is a national website for dogs up for adoption. You would be surprised at the number of yorkies and maltese they have. You can search geographically for a shelter group hard by you.
Check out the shelters! Adoption fees are sometimes that low for a little dog, sometimes not...might take some looking! Or try craigslist.com, some people giving up their pets are predisposed to accept a very low fee.

Remember that the average once a year costs for a dog are in the thousands and emergency+unexpected medical care will cost you hundreds at a time. Just make certain you are financially capable before you adopt an animal :)
Those dogs cost more than 150.00. Yorkies are around a thousand and I am not sure just about maltese. Maybe you should try a small breed mix. They are a lot less expensive. Also you consider most small dogs require grooming regularly so you could think in the region of that as well. They also need many shots within first few months that can get quite costly. Just something to think just about.

goodluck! ^_^
I am in Australia and from what I know you will be lucky. The single way I can see u getting one of either breed is to take an elder dog/** that is no longer needed for breeding. However you still will need to spend money at the vet if problems go down, so be aware before you even try.

Go to a shelter near you.

Make sure you are ready for the resposibility!!

These are the steps to getting a alien puppy/dog.

1. Research the breed that you wish to get
2. Visit Local Shelters to look for your breed
3. If you choose a breeder, make certain you find a good breeder, that is responsible.
4. Have money to support the dog, dogs are really expensive, and you will spend thousands of money on your dog it's whole enthusiasm.
5. This is what you will need money to either purchase, or have given to the dog.
