I enjoy a 5month year matured pit bull?
My pit bull is a girl she is not bad. I wanted to get her ear cropped but everybody is recounting it is to late. I have not taken her to see a vet yet. I look on the internet to see whether they have a age limit for ear cropping and it said there is no age cut-off date. So do you think i am to late. Please don't give me that it is cruel basically stick to the answer
Please don't do it. You obviously don't love your dog if you want to hurt it for no point but to please you!
surrounded by my opinion i think it is not right to crop a dogs ears if they are over a year antediluvian... 1 whole year is plenty of time to go and get a dogs ears cropped. and some pitbulls have need of a lot of sedative when you crop their ears and the majority of them have such a giant and amazing drive that it only numbs them and doesnt put them to sleep... the older they are the harder it is to numb them for cropping. the younger... the better.
Normally you can call a vet assistance and ask
Would you want your parents taking you to the hospital when you be 3 or 4 years old and getting your ears cut off just to suit their taste?

Answers: Yes it is to late. Ear cropping should be done at 8-12 wks of age. Some vets go up to 16 wks age. To catch her ears cropped now you would have to go extremly short, what some empire call a battle crop (no ear)
At 5 months this pup should have be to a vet several times now for it's shots. It should have had it's Rabies at 12 wks of age, 16 wks the most up-to-date. Then you could have asked the vet these questions.

IMO I would not do it - I'm against ear cropping besides - they look cuter with natural ears. But do take her contained by to be spayed if she's not already done.
Forgive me for saying this, but it's in the order of time that N America got inline with the rest of the world and banned this barbaric practice. OK, that will seize me a lot of negative feedback, but it is just a cosmetic piece. Why do you want to do this? It is in fact illegal surrounded by Europe and has been for many years.
