I purely get a yorkie-poo. He is in the region of 4 months behind the times. I'm have abundantly of trouble potty training him.?
I'm thinking of buying a crate for him but how does it work? How long do I use it for? Once he is trained do I stop using it? Any advice will be surely appreciated!

Yorkie's are disgracefully (IMO) known for being difficult to train with burglary issues. But then every dog is unique so don't go totally by that.
I own the best luck in the summertime with housebreaking a dog. Just by justice of the fact that they are outside so much of the time they seem to train themselves surrounded by some regards.
However, since its not summer your best bet is with crate training. The way that works is that nearly all dogs will do anything to avoid "soiling" their home/nest. So the pet is confined to the kennel but taken out frequently for breaks. If when you take your pet out it does what its supposed ot do, lavish it with compliment. Dogs want to please. There is nothing to be gained with punishing a dog physically adjectives you will accomplish is to make it fearful. It is okay to talk in a tone of voice that will express your dismay whether it has an accident, like "Oh why did you do that shame on you I'm so disappointed". They pick up on more than you come up with. If you take the dog out and it "goes" outside, then reward it indoors by allowing it freedom to explore but hang on to a close eye on it. Puppies bladders are not fully developed and cannot hold urine as an adult could. Get a book or search online for tips about crate training its your best bet. But please, be forgiving. In a way, you are training yourself too that you will recognize the signs your pet needs to budge out.
Answers: Crate training is a wonderful thing to do for both your dog and yourself. It will come in handy for years to come whether you train correctly.
To train your dog using the crate, first make sure you have the right size. You don't want it to be so big that the dog can well relive itself in one area and then scoot over to another nouns and still have enough room to stay clear away from the urine or poop. Nor do you want the crate to be so small that he can not sit up straight or turn around. Generally, the right sized crate give the dog enough room to turn around and lie down.
So, training the crate. The very first item you need to do is to allow your pup to get used to being inside the crate, and ENJOY individual inside of it. Start giving him everything he enjoys inside of the crate, food, treats, praise, toys, and soft cuddly bed, etc. Remember, the point of the crate is for him to enjoy mortal in it while you are away.
Always leave the crate unequivocal and available for him to go rest in. During the day, you can put him within it for a little while as your coking, cleaning, etc. but make sure you compliment him when he comes out. You can start putting him in the crate at night to help beside the houstraining issue. Just always remember, for him, crate time must equal fun time!!
Now for house training, take your pup out every two hours. If you have a patio that he relieves himself in, go out there near him and lead him to a dedicated "pee-pee spot" that you want him to use the bathroom in. Carry him at hand if you have to. Wait for him to go pee or poop and read aloud "Go to the Bathroom!" as he is doing it. Do this EVERY time you see him use the bathroom. During walks, in the yard, at the park, etc. This path, he will learn that the word "Use the Bathroom" means to go poop or pee.
Always pinch him out twenty minutes after eating and drinking. Take him out right before he goes to bed and right after he wake up.
Potty training may be hard, but it will pay off.

try getting so pee pads thos work really fitting when he/she are goin to pee on the floor grab them really quick and put them on the pee pad when they find use to it try moving it close to the door then do it agen for a couple weeks them move it to the door and do that for a week then put it out side then afet that bring back rid of the pee pad then he/she should be ok hope this helps:)
You can get a crate, and you can read up on it. But actually in the subsequent few mos, it is you who will be trained. You will have to get him out every 2 hrs and show him where to walk. Say you word for what you want from him..GO POTTY...or something like that, say it as you are going out..he will soon catch on, but it take a lot of patience and watching for signs.

Potty training can be so frustrating. Probably the hardest point you have to do. I can remember my breeder when I got mine saying moderation, patience, patience.
