If we bring a European bloodline to America and enter it into a conformation show..?
if we enter a european champion boxer into an american conformation show will it have the opportunity to win?
Only if it's good enough to defeat all the other dogs in its class.
Only if it is of the type American judges close to, since it prob has natural ears and/or tail that will count against it. German bred German Shepherds rarely do all right in the American ring as Americans and Germans breed for 2 vastly different types. German bred Dobes are vastly different in type from American bred Dobes. European dogs usually hold a more aggressive, assertive temperament as well. I prefer the German bred dogs myself and have owned several either adjectives German or European or half German and half American.
Answers: The big problem facing showing an import right now is the fact that European countries no longer dock or crop. So, your boxer will own both its tail and its ears. I am not saying it can not be done, because it can, just saying it may pinch longer to get a championship on a natural dog than one that have been docked and cropped. Not sure about the politics contained by Boxer Ring, I do know it is really frowned upon to try to show a tailed Rottweiler. At the same time, there are a few tailed Rottweiler Champions, so it can be done. AKC does not have a problem near the showing of dogs in their natural state, some of the parent clubs do, or other people showing do, but you newly learn to deal with the ignorance of relations and move on. Show your dog if you want to, just be prepared for it to appropriate a while, even if it is a superb example of the breed.
If the dog is registered with a Kennel Club that the AKC recognize, you would have to register him/her with the AKC.
I have see many Boxers with natural ears do economically.
As someone had mentioned, it would all depend on if the dog falls inside the AKC Breed Standard and the judge you get!
Given you have import this animal it all rests with the judge surrounded by the final analysis BUT be aware that European type is different than the US .If your dog is the correct conformation, not over height and has a tail as plentiful countries in Europe ban docking you may find some judges may not resembling either the tail or this particular type.If there is a champ adjectives breeds show and the Judge is from Europe it stands to reason you will do better than the USA dogs but no-one can predict what a judge may do although if you enjoy been showing as much as l have l normally can look at the directory, the judge and predict who is going to win.Not that easy at Westminster where you do enjoy overseas judges.l have European lines and can assure you that they do a moment ago as well under my country+s judges as European as l show and breed a german breed but again you never know.Just because it is an introduction does not necessarily mean it is going to be a top winner as no breeder wherever get rid of their top puppies or adults.IMP after a name does not mean you will automatically win and if that be the case l would have won more Best in Shows than l enjoy in the past
European champ dogs are imported, shown and do well contained by the US.
Depends on if the ears are cropped. Most show boxers here hold ears cropped. Look up AKC standards regarding the ears for show.
