Is 4 months too childish to run your dog?

I have 3 dogs that always run with me, one of them is a 4 month outmoded... all of them are shar peis by the way. My four month old have been gradually running more and more near me everyday and he does a great job keeping up right behind me and I never pull him. Well, nowadays this old lady who couldn't mind her own buisiness told me that I be going too fast for my dog. She couldn't even control her dog that was barking at mine. I told her that they are my dogs and to intellect her own buisiness and the guy across the street was laughing because she was in my buisiness. Of course, at the moment, the lone reason I was going a little speedily was because she only saw the part where on earth my big dog was pulling me downhill on roller blades because her dog was barking at him. One entry I cannot stand is when people don't mind their own buisiness. I've been roller blading beside my dogs for months now and with my 4 month old, I've be gradually increasing the time on the run, not the speed. I go as nippy as the 4 month old can go. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong because he keep up. What do you all think? Is she being nosey or what? Because it really is my buisiness how I train them, but I chew over I'm doing a great job with my puppy because I did that also to my 8 month old and I've be roller blading with her since she was 3 1/2 months old! Some society cannot mind their own buisiness... dang, I need to cool down!!
Too much, too soon - it's your undertaking to be the parent/human, and be responsible. Read up on orthopedic problems caused by early overtraining. It's very adjectives.

Not only that, but it sounds as if you aren't able to control them while on rollerblades, and that could be a virulent situation for all involved.

Rant all you like - you're still wrong. I would enjoy pulled you over, as well. Nosey? Absolutely not - she was acting as any concerned responsible adult would enjoy. Good for her. You shouldn't laugh it off - you should have more respect, and cram from the experience.
Well, I'd have said something to you too. I don't close to to see people hurting their dogs simply because they don't know better.

You should NOT be running a 4 month old dog! Whether or not the dog can keep up have absolutely nothing to do with it. His bones are still forming and you are only just asking for bone problems when he's an adult.
no it is not to young i walk my dog when she was 3 months but dont rush them they'll lose match !
I think you're doing a great job. Keep it up. PS. I similar to to rant on here too.
Answers:    Take it easy until he is elder. Young dogs can tear muscles and ligaments easily and overheat much quicker than older dogs. Unfortunately their instincts transmit them not to slow down or show that they are tired and will go and go until they completely exhausted or injured.
Lioness is right, you're damaging your dog's joints and ligaments. You'd think the dog's breeder or someone would hold taught you something about basic puppy attention to detail. Puppies should never, ever be run. Free play is different from what you're doing. And if you don't believe it - unless your puppy's breeder is a backyard breeder who doesn't know any better, talk to the breeder. If it's a reputable breeder, you'll get an earful!
IMO yes. You need to work up to the level - 4 months is newly a puppy and they tire easily. I would limit slow running to a block and then rest and totter home.
I definitely think that lady requests to mind her own business and should be working on the problems her dog has and not minding you and your dogs.

But you should not be running a 4 month weak puppy. You can take walks as many times and as long as you want. But puppies bones are still growing and they are not fused however. If you run them and let them play really hard it will be very tough on their joints and there is a very dutiful chance that they will have joint/bone problems when they are older. That's why you are not supposed to start agility training until they are at tiniest 1 year old. I would wait until your shar pei is at least 1 year mature to run him regularly. Otherwise just walk him everyday until then. When he get to be about 10 months old you could start running him once a week with walk all the other days. Then gradually increase the number of time you run vs. walk him.
Reputable Breeders??   Getting a puppy? cost?   How would you preserve a dog from your parents for a week?   How do i know when my dog go surrounded by bake?
