Is anyone else finding bugs surrounded by boxes of Milkbones dog cookies?

I dropped a box of Milkbones on the floor, and in the dust that came out of the box there be some insect casings. Upon further inspection, i saw some little worm-like bugs (although they had little feet, so they weren't certainly worms).

-Has this happened to anyone else? (I'm trying to gauge whether it's a widespread problem near Milkbones, or just a fluke)
-Are the bugs harmful if my dog have eaten a couple?
-Will I end up with a bug infested kitchen?
Thats why I only feed my dogs these, made to directive with only the freshest ingredients.

Someone else posted something about bugs in milkbones early this evening. I would contact the company to make them aware of it. I'd also return them from where you bought them and make the store aware of it also. I wouldn't nurture them to my dog either, nor would I keep the box in the house. Take some of the bugs to an exterminator company and see whether they can tell you what they are.
Answers:    Sounds approaching they might be weevils. They can infest stored grains, flour and dried cereal. They probably entered during warehousing. If you notice them surrounded by other grain products, then you should call an exterminator.

They shouldn't be hurtful to your dog. Dogs eat all kinds of motionless things and stuff that has been on the ground. If you are worried. You can always burn them at at least 200° until they are heated to that temperature internally.

Keep the treats sealed surrounded by a plastic container the bugs can't get out of them.
