Is it one and only dogs that see surrounded by black and white?
most animals do but not entirely black and white
i.e. why a tiger is orange
orange and green are the same shade when it is contained by black and white
Dogs don't see only in black and white, so your premise is incorrect to start with.
They do have what you might call a red-green color blindness. -!-
no other animals do but dogs also see green and red but they are reversed.
they can see color but in a different style it's not like full color for us like my friend is color blind and only see red and green but green looks red and red looks green and all other colors look different it's kind of like that for LOTS of animals.
Dogs can see some color variation as can cats. They just don't perceive it as important. In the wild a brown squirrel taste the same as a gray squirrel or a red squirrel. The animals that comprehend color, because they need to differentiate, such as monkeys and chimps, need to know whether fruit is ripe and ready to eat.
Dogs are not color blind. They do not see only in black and white. Their eye structure does include cones, just not as masses as a human eye.
