Is it true that irish wolfhounds,german shephards,great danes and dobermans are tie within some states?
I'm not too sure. All those are fine here in Tennessee.
Pitbulls are disqualified here though. Even though my cousin owns one.
There are some dog breeds that are restricted by city ordinance in correct individual cities. These are generally the more aggressive breeds like Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Pit Bulls, BullDogs, etc. It varies from nouns to area. The reason I am responding is that IRISH WOLFHOUNDS have NEVER be placed on any of these lists. They are absolutely not aggressive dogs. Only through bad breeding and training could an IW become aggressive. They are awful guard dogs, having never met a stranger, although their sheer size intimidates most people from testing the intent of their wag tails.
In some cities pitt bulls are banned but I have never hear of the other breeds being banned anywhere
Yes unfortunately...they are placed under the aggressive dog breeds.I breed dobermans and as a young girl it restricted where on earth i could live...I hate the misconceptions.
Banned. And to my knowledge, not yet. However, within are some groups that are attempting to get those breeds banned. Some cities do have breed restrictions on abiding dog breeds, but they are not banned by the state as a whole. For the most part, explicitly pretty much limited to Pitt Bulls and Am Staff terriers. For the breeds you listed there are heaps rental companies that do not permit german shepherds or dobies or any mixture of those breeds. However, I've yet to come across a rental company that bans wolfhounds and danes for anything bar size.
If they are, then that is the dumbest thing I own ever heard.

Answers: As far as I know yes. The doberman, german shepherd and great dane are all on a banned/restricted list of dog breeds meaning they are barred in some states across the US. The irish wolfhound is banned in Fairfield, Iowa because of solidity restrictions so there are probably more places like that too.
