Is neosporin ok for dogs in connection with scabs?
My dog has little scabs marks on his skin from getting shaved with not plenty lubrication... I am wondering if neosporin is an okay medicine to help near the scabbing. Thanks!
probably i wouldn't worry it probably won't hurt your dog for little scabs it is ok
Honestly, if your dog's wounds are scabbed over, I would not apply the neosporin, as it won't do any good besides. The scab itself acts as a protective covering for the wound. If you apply neosporin, you not only delay the therapeutic process, but it will also cause the dog to scar instead of heal properly. I would individual apply neosporin to an open wound.
Neosporin is for humans, not for dogs. Don't risk your dog's vivacity.
neosporin won't hurt your dog, however if the nick are already scabbed over then neosporin really won't offer you any benefit.
I just had a problem near my dog..he had a wound on his neck..I took him to the vet and the doc said that neosporin in ok...as long as they dont lick it!! So procure an E-collar...those cones for their head...if you do it so he/she doesnt lick it.
NO dont use that at adjectives
there is this organic tree sap cream type stuff that is great for them
Answers: Yes it wont hurt them.neosporin is a natural product.
it is okay...as long as he can't just lick it off.
