Is this an adjectives answer to question abt dog pregnancies and birth?

I understand that breeding by people on here is stupid but I get the impression that someone should give them a head start on figuring stuff out as the sabotage has already been done...

Is this answer acceptable? Is within anything I should change. I have typed and copied and pasted it once. Thanks

Ok I do not breed but took surrounded by a pregnant stray so I will try to help you where I can.

*She needs to be drinking puppy food and not dog food.
*Set up a welping box in a private semi dark spot
*Take her temp starting 10 days b4 due date when it drops to I believe 97 something labor should be within 24hrs
*Make certain to read up on dogs giving birth...have a baby nose sucker and some rag around. Offer her plenty of water while in labor she will probably not eat though.
*I have to move the pups when their sibling was being born as she moved around a lot..at hand were also 4 born with fluid in the lungs and bubbles coming out of their antenna. Read up on shaking a puppy down after trying to suck the nose. Vet told me nesting and panting stage can last up to 36 hours...no more than i think an hour and a partially btw puppies..(verify with vet or books)
*Weigh puppies at birth and every day thereafter. They should gain every day I have a few stay the same for 2 days though. They should NEVER loose weight.
*do not use thick blankets to rank welping box as they can get trapped under and suffocate
*Mom will need 4xs her middle-of-the-road food after babies are born and unlimited water
*Make sure water bowl is thoughtful enough pups cannot wiggle into it

Verify all this near your vet but this is what I did. I also kept a baby monitor on 24/7 to make sure she did not lay on one (she did 4xs) and have to get up numerous times the first few nights to facilitate the runt nurse. He woudl get pushed away.

Good luck and it is hard work but fundamentally worth it. We had 8 puppies and all survived. Also, make certain to trim their nails every week or they will hurt mom.

***when u weigh the pups hold, pet and talk to them for a minute it will be good for their socialization when they grow. sit right subsequent to mom if she is nervous with you handeling them so she can check on them.

Keep any other dogs absent from her and the pups..My pom could not even be in the HOUSE or the mom would freak out!

its fine
Yes that is a fantastic answer, very informative :D
Answers:    It is a very good answer apart from for a few things. Rags should never be used to wipe down pups. Towels should be. also the whelping area should be kept warm but not hot. Mom & pups can get parched. also both mom & pups should be vet checked with in 24 hours after whelping.
I would also replace the word shaking down with rubbing down. I can newly see someone trying to shake a puppy.

Other than theses few changes it is a good layman's answer!

Oh an alternative thing. Mom should not be left alone to whelp. You need to be right in that to make sure all is all right. ok
Excellent answer. I surmise it is wrong when people put the people down for breeding, when they obviously obligation help not criticism. I try to help when I can. Thanks for helping also!
