Is this lost dog past the worst to preserve or not?
i found a lost dog today & it says its rabies shots were done ending year. so is this dog safe or not??
you really dont want to hurt u or ur fam so u NEED TO TAKE TO A VET last year you dont know the date and what whether a famly is looking for a lost dog you should take a pic and hang posters best or luck
You should be fine on the rabies shot. They're good for 1-3 years, depending on the vaccine and dosage.
But this is imagined someone's pet, not a stray, not with a tag. You should at least spawn some effort to find its owners. Let the local shelter, vets, and animal control know you've found the dog. (A vet can actually roughly trace the rabies tag to find the owner.) Maybe make up fliers. Maybe put an ad surrounded by the paper.
Imagine how sad you'd be if you lost your pet. Someone else is probably awareness that way about this dog. You should at least TRY to get hold of it home.

How do you know when he had his shots? If he have any kind of tags or Id, you need to contact the owners. If not, after you could either take a photo and post them in the nouns where you found him, or contact your local animal shelter. The dog may be micro-chipped, so they can locate his owner. Also, this is the first place a person who's missing a dog will look. You can't in recent times keep him because you found him, he may be missed by someone. If you end up taking him to the shelter, you can keep track of him or communicate them that you want him if he goes unclaimed. Good luck.
Take the dog to a vet to get it checked up. Then start posting signs and flyers about a lost dog. I reaserched this and it said "Texas A&M University's and most other veterinary schools immediately teach that most shots should be given every three years", so I guess its safe.
you should get the dog checked out just to be not detrimental.
Call the number on the rabies tag and they can detail you the vet and the owner of the dog.
Some vet clinics differ. the date on tag could mean that shots be given on that date, or expire on that date. Take to vet. Also, if rabies collar was on, the vet should check to see if the dog be micro chipped. this will alert the owner. Someone could be searching for this dog. And..they could be heartbroken. Check first, if not... joyous days ahead.
